From the Author

Character Notes:
As many of my longtime readers know, former characters and readers' favorites tend to appear and reappear in my stories. I love the sense of continuity that allows us a chance to catch up with their lives.
Dylan and Carina appear in A Father for Christmas in their roles directing Warspring, International, a charity for children displaced by war.
Rebecca Morley and Rich Jewell visit the Sánchez family restaurant, Barrio XO, in Taming Romeo. Dylan makes a cameo appearance.
Dylan Jewell plays a major role in A Pet for Christmas as he works with the government to get Tyler Manning rescued from Afghanistan.

What can I say about this book? Sexy, teasing, and holy smokin' hot! The chemistry between Carina and Dylan sparks from the get go and doesn't let up. Even if Carina wants to resist him, there is no denying those bedroom eyes and charming smile. But physical attraction does not mean smooth sailing for this couple.

Carina has one goal in mind, and that is to get a return offer by the end of her internship. Nothing can get in the way of that goal, especially not a tree hugging, charity giving man. I will say about Carina that I loved the growth her character took throughout this book. She has a lot to learn about life, and it was great watching her see how the other half live. There are a lot of bumps along the way, but all while reading, I just couldn't help but hope these two somehow worked out their problems.

I loved Dylan. Sweet, handsome, considerate. The kind of guy every girl dreams of for their very own! When it comes to book boyfriends, you don't want to miss Dylan!

If you are looking for a book that has excellent writing with characters you can really get into and enjoy, pick this up! Whole Latte Love is a whole lot of fun! I highly recommend it!

I have read many of Rachel Ayala's novels and there has yet to be one that I have not simply loved. She will have you laughing, gasping, sometimes even have you shaking your head at how you can actually picture things happening in real life.

The world of investment banking-especially in NYC or other large cities like in California, is cut throat and that is putting it mildly. Carina, an Oriental young girl brought up in a strict home has only one thing in mind--to keep her sights on the job. She has never had any boyfriends because her parents always instilled in her the need to succeed first in school-now in her chosen profession. She managed to snag an internship at a prestigious firm where she hopes they will want to hire her permanently. When she asks an old friend if she knows where she can rent--things start to get interesting!

She moves in with a sexy barista and lays down the rules--in writing--which he agrees to--somewhat. Heavens Carina loves rules and even more so when they are in writing AND signed!! At work she has some trouble just because she is female------when her female boss says she will help her if Carina when asked to jump will say how high---darn-I refuse to give away this story--

Her sexy barista friend has a hidden past of his own-----he is not exactly the free wheeling rock star he appears--well he is--but---

Okay--it is a five--read it--you will love it!! It is one of those new genre Young Adult--I found nothing offensive what so ever-but I leave that to your discretion as to whether you want your teen to read this or not.

Whole Latte Love by Rachelle Ayala is a 2014 World Literary Press Publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Carina is someone we have all encountered from time to time in our lives and some of us may be a little bit like her some ways. She is driven to succeed at all cost. I do mean AT ALL COST. She could also be a prime candidate for the old “all work and no play” adage. She doesn’t do friends, parties, date, or have time for any sort of fun. When she arrives in California to begin an internship in investment banking she needs a place to stay. As it so happens she has a friend who knows someone that is looking for a roomie. Enter Dylan Jewell who is Carina’s polar opposite. Oh he could have been like Carina, in fact her chosen field was a shoe-in for him, but he turned his back on that sort of life. Well, Carina is SO unimpressed with Dylan when she first meets him. After all, he works in a coffee shop and plays in a band. Not exactly the up and coming ladder climbing type. But, Carina hasn’t much choice so she agrees to move in with Dylan.

Right away the two of them begin having trouble. Dylan is just too good looking for one thing.

“Just thinking about him made her tingle in all the wrong places. Men like him should be illegal, contributing to the delinquency of women, especially ones who were serious about careers.”

So, Dylan is distracting Carina and causing trouble for her by texting her at work or keeping her from attending important functions. But, Carina is given an assignment by her boss that only a very driven person would agree to.

So, for me Dylan becomes the person that is the most impressive and likeable. He is real, down to earth and swoon worthy.

Yet another Romance novel! Looks like I’m catching up with all the romance that I’ve missed over the years.

Our protagonist Carina, is an intern from a conservative Asian background. She is this typical good girl who ultimately falls for the superhot flirt bartender Dylan with a hidden face and a burdening past.

The story is about the progression of their relationship under some compelling circumstances. In short without giving away the plot, this story is about how a relationship can be ruined or saved based on one’s understanding or perspective of love of their life.

Dylan’s characterisation was beautiful. I almost felt like reading a true story. His character had so much of substance that it almost felt that the writer based his character on some real life person.

On contrast, Carina’s characterisation lacked that multitude. She seemed so predictable. Since when women became predictable?!

The writing was beautiful and the story kept me hooked. Though there were certain parts which I felt were a bit of a drag. In spite of being hooked, at times the story turned truly predictable. I’m not really sure if that is how a romance novel is supposed to be for I’m a true mystery and thriller girl who loves the twists and turns.

There were few steamy scenes but they were quite well written and seemed aesthetic enough for a non-romance reader. Looks like I ought to shed that “non-romance reader” tag, for I can confidently say I’ve sampled few really good romance novels which obviously includes this book too!

Overall, Whole Latte Love is a well written and beautifully packaged simple love story that certainly deserves attention.

VERDICT: Why not? It’s a light read!
