OH MY GOSH, when I opened it, I just couldn't stand the smell. I was going to put it in a large jar (organizing my pantry), so I opened it, got a whiff and closed it AFAP! I put it in my pantry for a couple minutes, but it started to smell in there, and so I trashed it. Yes, I trashed $10. Oh well .... it stunk like artificial sweeteners, and I just couldn't do it.

I have used this product before and love it for certain baking recipes, but the ad is very misleading as another purchaser stated below. It does clearly say 32oz (Pack of 12) but you only get one 32oz bag. Amazon needs to correct their ad. I also put in for a refund and it was easily given so that was nice.

There's a molasses smell that I've been trying to get used to. So far so good. I thought maybe I would buy some vanilla beans & add to the sucanat. This way I could smell vanilla instead of molasses. The sucanat dissolves easily & quickly. I like this product.

This seems good. I know that in theory the sucanat is much better than regular sugar. I don't really taste a lot of difference, although I can see the difference in color of rolls, etc. It does seem a little expensive for me to replace all my sugar needs with this though. At almost ten dollars a pound, I would go through this pretty quickly, even though I use honey instead of sugar in a lot of places.
