This was my first experience with a K.S. Thomas novel and I must say it was like falling in love for the first time or experiencing your first kiss. That excitement that you get when everything starts to tingle from your fingers all the way to your toes. This entire novel is like that from beginning to end its just a brilliant work of art a true masterpiece I loved every single moment of it!

With Whom We Spend Our Lives is a story about Harper and Cole who have had a tragic breakup for reasons that Harper doesn't understand Cole has had to leave and Harper has tried to move on with her live she has dated and much to her dismay she has been unable to move past her ruggedly sexy man of the past. Cole has struggled to move past Harper and despite actually making something out of his life he is unable to forget the love of his life and unable to move on with out her. Circumstances have now put them back in the same town for a wedding where they will have to face each other and their past to see if they can move forward however fate seems to keep throwing curve balls in their way, are they destined to be together or are they destined to be apart? K.S. Thomas did such a magnificent job writing this novel the story line just flows and the connections that were created between all of the characters were so flawlessly created that as a reader it felt like I was part of the story myself and right along for the journey. This story was honestly just a heart warming and loving tale that was incredibly romantic and refreshing to read and I for one cannot wait to read what K.S. Thomas has in store for us next!

I absolutely adore k.s Thomas, I have read just about all of her works and I have to admit this is probably my #1 fav now.

I was a little lost in the beginning there's a lot going on with the introduction of all the characters, but don't let that detour you from reading, it's much needed to understand everyone that comes to light.
Although this is based pretty much around a few couples all at once, I love how she ties everyone together so it's not sloppy. That being said my absolute favorite character is Gina aka aunt dick.... I laughed so hard at the things that came out of that women's mouth. She's amazing and I'm pretty sure the authors favorite probably too...
I highly recommend everyone read the little intro, until it's not, before reading this, it gives you some background into aunt dick and you'll understand her story better.
All in all this is another amazing read from this absolute admirable author. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

What a heartwarming story that centers around family whether they are blood related or acquired. Their unique family bonds, friendship and humor is what made this book a five star read for me. I loved these characters. They were sharp, witty, entertaining, and unlike any other characters I’ve had the pleasure of reading. This book drew me in by it’s playful banter, but kept me reading because of the not one, but three happily ever after’s I was hoping for in this book. My only wish was to read a prior book that detailed the early romance of Cole and Harper, Harper’s mother- Meg and Barret, and Aunt Dick-aka Gina and Miles. However, the author did a phenomenal job of filling in those blanks in a clever creative way of reminiscing and the backstories of these characters. If you want a great read about love that withstands the test of time, check out With Whom We Spend Our Lives. I hope it warms your heart too!

Cole walked out of Harpers life seven years ago. He was determined to make something of himself. He has never forgotten her nor fell out of love with her. Harper's mother Meg's best friend Gina had found Cole and took him in. When a invitation to Meg and Barret's wedding arrives Gina tells Cole he is returning with her for it. Cole isn't sure he is ready to return. Gina plays the Harper card. He needs to return for a second chance with Harper. Harper is excited her mother is finally marring Barret. After ten years together she is finally taking that step. Harper returns home for the summer to help with the wedding. When her boyfriend Marcus shows up, she isn't to happy but she can deal with it.

I really didn't know how to word this review. The book was so much more then I was expecting. There are so many back stories and side stories going on with this group of people. Nothing is really as it seems. It was a fantastic book. Loved all the characters. How they knew each other so well. Well enough to maneuver them to get what they wanted and what they needed. It almost seems as if nothing is as you think it is. When everyone is so busy meddling in everyone else's life they miss the meddling into their own. Filled with humor and second chance romance. It was a refreshing read.

I received and ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

What a romantic story about getting past regrets and fears and finally making the right move. This was an emotional and touching story about why letting go and accepting a substandard life is not really living. Cole and Harper let each other go long ago. At the same time Aunt Dick had someone in her past too. When Cole ends up returning with Aunt Dick to Harper's mother's wedding with his former music teacher, all h*ll breaks loose, first with the endless parade of current and former boyfriends of Harper, then there's the evil Grandma Trudy who sees Cole as the scum of the earth, and behind it all are the unresolved feelings that Cole and Harper have to figure out.

If you read the prequel, you'll totally enjoy the subplot and how everything ties together. Finally, I love the college cover art. It really made me think that this story is about the past, memories, and how we were meant to spend our lives.
