Seems to tell basic stories of relationships that had more downs then ups. I don't think I agree with the premise, that being that men are meant to wander and not be tied down. MGTOW is great but the reason should not be b/c women/society/relationships are bad, but rather your happy doing what you want to do. If you don't know what you want don't bother other ppl.

When you boil this book down to its core it's not so much about cheating or marriage as it is about FREEDOM. The freedom to be masculine, to live with honesty and integrity. The freedom to stand as a man and to own your sexuality. This book is packed with short stories of which every man who has ever been in a relationship will relate to. Without a doubt, the reader will see himself in each of these various scenarios. Some of the conflicts between the men and the women portrayed in these stories is uncomfortable. The last one especially so. Nevertheless, I couldn't put the book down in many parts because the stories were incidents or feelings that I endured in my own relationships with women. Even if you never endured these tribulations written in this book, you likely know friends, uncles, brothers and fathers who have with negative effects to their financial, social, and spiritual lives.

Mr. Patten highlights issues after every story and updates the reader on the consequences; good or bad. This is not a book one can simply speed through. The reader will have to stop at certain points to digest the meat of the story. You quickly realize that your reading a fiction but your mind is flashing back to the non-fiction events of your own life. There's a growing idea among many men today. The idea of men going their own way(MGTOW). It's my opinion that as more and more men become self-aware, Why I Cheat is poised to be a classic. Provocative, inspiring and ultimately dangerous.

Well done Mr. Patten. Well done.

Although written as fiction, any western man reading this will find either some of their own experiences or the experiences of a man he knows inside the pages of this book. Each chapter ends with observations written in easily searchable language backed with reputable links, adding an air of legitimacy to the topics presented in each chapter. A great read for any MGTOW!

I encourage people to read the negative reviews of books geared toward Men Going Their Own Way. The more feminist the women sound, the better the book is going to be LOL

I recommend this book as a prescribed reading for ALL MEN no matter their marital status, relationship backgrounds and/or sexual orientation. While reading you’ll quickly notice the book’s objective is not to bluster on the act of male infidelity, but rather to explore the delights of men (and the lack thereof) that ascends and inevitably descends in various relationships with women. Each chapter begins a new story of different men and their experiences with their female counterpart. While these are fictional stories inspired from the experiences of real men; I suspect any man reading this book will find a part of themselves in each of the men described in every chapter.

The book reveals countless examples of how men are often forced into excommunication, emotionally manipulated and divested of all of their vitality, dreams, ambitions and finances by the hands of merciless women of a narcissistic nature. This is a reality that most men face through dating and marriage in a gynocentric society, and Tim illustrates these occurrences very well using different scenarios. Some men cheat, others are cheated on, and some are manipulated into…well, I don’t want to spoil the book so you’ll have to find out for yourself. Why I Cheat is definitely a must read for anyone who wants a in-depth look into the lives of men dealing with dysfunctional relationships, how they end up in them and how life goes on after the trials and tribulations.

The stories in this book are written in such detail, that is gives clear examples of the dynamics and turning points of relationships with women displaying controlling, violent, deceptive and selfish behavior that is often accepted and/or hidden in plain sight in today’s society.

One of the greatest books to detail how American males have been legally, morally, spiritually, castrated by Feminism and Cultural Marxism. Well written, outstanding attributions, facts. The type of things, screaming harpies, psychopathology constrained women refuse to admit.

Too repetitive, and while the situations described are all definitively possible, they don't feel realistic, there's always something lacking, and everything is too biased.

It is however a good reference to remind us what could POTENTIALLY go wrong.

This book was a great collection of stories of the pitfalls of the modern man dealing with the modern woman in today's world. As somebody recently out of a long term relationship that failed due to the fact I couldn't be honest with someone I did love, I related with a lot of the characters. I saw the red flags they ignored and it made me realize I ignored red flags in my own situation. After reading this it has given me a new insight as to why my situation wasn't a failure as I originally though, but a success because now I'm free. Free to do what I want, accept myself and be the man I am instead of trying to be someone I'm not. This book might of just changed my life.
