It provides a very clear exposition of the terrible misunderstanding on the actual danger of radiation,
and the deeply flawed regulatory approach that is kept in place in most of the world regarding nuclear power,
preventing us from staving of a climate catastrophe that is coming at us with great speed.
The facts are there. This is physics and you can interject as much emotions into the debate
(as environmental organizations sadly enough do again and again)
but that will not invalidate the physics (luckily).
It lays out the facts, the fallacies, and describes solutions that are based on solid engineering practices.
It is written in a witty style. From time to time, the frustration leaks a bit through (understandably) on the insanity of the current vested interests,
that stiffle the innovation and progress that is so badly needed and possible. It might strengthen the book if those comments are toned down a bit.
Anybody that claims to want to save the planet, should read this book, digest the actual facts, and support the case for (modern) nuclear power.
(For what it is worth I have a Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics, so maybe I am biased ;-))
This isn't 1986. If the idea is to promulgate views widely, why not have a reasonably-priced Kindle edition? Sorry, not worth the money.

HOWEVER, Jack Devanney is continually updating this book and himself DOES NOT recommend buying the physical version (according to his appearance on a podcast called Decouple). Definitely read this book, but download the latest pdf for free from Jack's website.
