I could not put this book down. It kept me intrigued and wanting to read more. If you are expecting a Jane Austen Regency, this is not the book for you. If you like spice and hot hunky men this book is right up your alley.
I like that Miss Danna had in-depth characters, lead as well as secondary. I cared about what happened to them. I loved it when Elizabeth, one of the courtesans, pointed out obvious facts.
The history and healing methods were spot on.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I look forward to her next release.
Ethan and Arabella are not your typical Regency hero and heroine. Ethan is a male courtesan trying to pay off his debts. Arabella is a naive country girl with a talent in the healing arts. When Ethan hires Arabella to tend to his ladies, sparks fly!
Miss Danna's use of secondary characters- namely Elizabeth- added to the depth of the story. Elizabeth did not distract from the hero/heroine's journey, but enhanced the storyline.
Beautifully written and well-researched, a highly seductive read!

loved the book - but it just missed the mark in some places. Dragged on when it shouldn't have and then scenes cut short when she should have expounded more. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Amazon Customer

This was a wonderful read. Both the hero and heroine have been 'damaged' by their troubled backgrounds. Life's necessities threw them together and they find each other. Read morePublished 23 months ago by bettysunflower
