About the Author

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Gina Danna has spent the better part of her life reading. History has been her love and she spent numerous hours devouring historical romance stories, dreaming of writing one of her own. Years later, after receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees in history, writing academic research papers and writing for museum programs and events, she finally found the time to write her own stories of historical romantic fiction. Now, under the supervision of her three dogs and three cats, she writes amid a library of research books, with her only true break away is to spend time with her other lifelong dream—her Arabian horse. With him, her muse can play.

Kept me reading late in the night! When you start this novel, you won't be able to stop. Beware; the sensual intensity of THE WICKED BARGAIN, written by Gina Danna, will pull you deep into the story. You will enjoy every minute of it; it’s so passionate and romantic! Ms. Danna created two beautiful characters whom you will fall in love with. Let’s start with Ethan; tormented by a past as a sex slave, he was now a courtesan and a master in the art of seduction to please women. But, he had debts to pay and needed rich heiresses to help financially. He really enjoyed giving pleasure to women, until he discovered that he was falling for the sweet and naïve young woman. Arabella, had to flee her family and seek refuge near Ethan! She had witnessed, Ethan in a compromising situation, and now the deliciously wicked man was invading her mind and dreams. Soon, her ingenuity will mesmerize him and sparks will flare! Being around this charming man, she will understand the power of her sexuality. I have read many Regency stories, and I believe that it’s the first time that the hero is a male courtesan and the heroine practice as the house physician. Both roles are reversed, and I loved the idea, it was refreshing! It was interesting to understand these roles for that period of time. You will enjoy inflamed love scenes and a well developed intrigue. Beautiful hot and sensual chemistry between Ethan and Ari! Loved the role that Elizabeth played in the story! THE WICKED BARGAIN really seduced me, because it was wonderfully written with tenderness and passion. I highly recommend this historical romance filled with a touch of eroticism!

The Wicked Bargain is not your typical Regency period romance, not when it's set in a brothel in London.
Ethan Warth, the Marquis of Blackmore is a male courtesan for the wealthy nobility in 1816. The man is highly skilled in the art of pleasuring a woman. Miss Danna delves into the psyche of the man who decides to sell himself to pay off his debts.
Arabella Covington is a skilled in the healing arts, however in 1816, who would hire a woman as a doctor? An act of desperation brings her to Ethan's establishment. She proves her talents in helping one of the ladies. Arabella is a naive
country girl.
I could not put this book down. It kept me intrigued and wanting to read more. If you are expecting a Jane Austen Regency, this is not the book for you. If you like spice and hot hunky men this book is right up your alley.
I like that Miss Danna had in-depth characters, lead as well as secondary. I cared about what happened to them. I loved it when Elizabeth, one of the courtesans, pointed out obvious facts.
The history and healing methods were spot on.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I look forward to her next release.

The Wicked Bargain (Gina Danna) was the second of my summer reads by this intriguing new author. This time the Hero and Heroine are in 1868 London (her other book, Love and Vengeance, Rome, 108 AD) has a very different feel; both erotic page-turners with characters that slowly emerge from the pages to meet you half-way, and then draw you skillfully into their worlds. Great visualizations, even better plot and pacing, and I finished the book looking for more by Ms. Danna. Found another that I just ordered, “Her Eternal Rouge” that I’ve ordered for my Kindle. Really, really loved these reads; perfect for the pool with a glass of wine, or a summer book club. I’m sharing this one with mine; it’s classy eroticism, left me surrounded with a feel for this period, and a little bit of yearning for a lover like Ethan, a love story for lovers, and stands out from mass market paperbacks because of all the twists and turns….more please!

I just could not feel any love between Eathan and Arabelle even at the end of the book. She loved him but he enjoyed being a male coutrtesan. He did it to get out of debt was supposely the reason. He had been captured years beforeand made a slave to a woman so learned how to please woman. I think everyone one of his clients used the same term to him f--- me. Arabelle worked as a Dr. for his brothel .He also had that in his house. Spoilers :::::He was going to sell Arabelle as a mistress or a wife.It depended on which man she took.He was going to show her how to respond to a man but not have sex with her. It was almost near the end of the book his Madam told him his most frequent customer was there .She and Arabelle had set it up for the client to be her.I could not get over that he told Arabelle she did not have enough money to pay him for his services. She had made enough but taking some private clients. They went to bed together and dd have sex.I wondered if he kept the money. I agree the ending was rushed I did not care what happened by that point. This was a one sided romance to me. I did not feel enough love on his part

Unique plot and unforgettable characters add to the beauty and sensuality of the story.

Ethan and Arabella are not your typical Regency hero and heroine. Ethan is a male courtesan trying to pay off his debts. Arabella is a naive country girl with a talent in the healing arts. When Ethan hires Arabella to tend to his ladies, sparks fly!

Miss Danna's use of secondary characters- namely Elizabeth- added to the depth of the story. Elizabeth did not distract from the hero/heroine's journey, but enhanced the storyline.

Beautifully written and well-researched, a highly seductive read!
