Jerico Jameson was the gorgeous and smart owner of the sex club, Wicked Horse. He was also owner of The Jameson Security Group who specialized in black ops missions. He was a one night stand guy and never a repeat since he caught his fiancé cheating several years earlier.
Trista Barnes was beautiful and troubled. She owed a loan shark who beat her as incentive for payment. Jerico owed her brother, Jayce, a favor that he promised he would pay at any time. Jayce sent Trista to Jerico to collect. Although we quickly learned that not everything was as it seemed.
As a sex club, the majority of the storyline was centered around sex and the club. However, Bennett also graced us with a secondary plot which assisted us in learning the characters within the series. It was relationship building but it also revealed a few personalities and helped to set the stage for the series. It was well written and entertaining. It wasn’t a complex plot, but hopefully we’ll get more depth and dimension as the series continues.
I can’t wait to read Kynan’s story but it appears we have several others first. Until then....
I loved Jerico but I don't think I loved Trista that much. She was OK. She's possibly the reason why I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did Wicked Wish. I think Jerico & Trista's relationship was a tad insta-love and I'm not a huge fan of those; personal preference of course.
Regardless, it was entertaining and a great read but not as enjoyable as Wicked Wish for me.
