"Christina Lauren is my go-to author when I'm looking for sexy and sweet." (Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author)
“Lauren's snappy dialogue, amusing banter, and dual first-person perspectives (with alternating chapters told from London's and Luke's points of view) keep the emotions high, close, and intense. A hyper-sexy sophisticated romance that perfectly captures the hunger, thrill, and doubt of young, modern love.” (Kirkus Reviews on Wicked Sexy Liar)
"I don't say this lightly, but Wicked Sexy Liar may be my favorite Christina Lauren title ever... I was blown away by this deeply moving and wickedly hot romance. Christina Lauren sets up Luke as a shameless lothario running from commitment, who soon melts when he sees how guarded and self-protective London is. The problems they face as a couple — Luke trying to leave behind his caddish ways and London fighting an ingrained sense of caution and reserve — are achingly real. Oh, and any book that treats playing video games as a prelude to sex gets my personal stamp of approval." (Regina Small, Romantic Times)
"Full of expertly drawn characters who will grab your heart and never let go, humor that will have you howling, and off-the-charts, toe-curling chemistry, Dark Wild Night is absolutely unforgettable. This is contemporary romance at its best! Beautifully written and remarkably compelling—it reminded me why Christina Lauren's books have a place of honor on my bookshelf." (Sarah J. Maas, bestselling author of Throne of Glass on Dark Wild Night)
"A sexy, sweet treasure of a story. I loved every word." (Sylvia Day on Sweet Filthy Boy)
“Hot . . . The atmospheric San Diego setting, full of partying, video games, and casual hookups, provides a bright contrast to Luke and London’s angst-filled romance. Fans of earthy relationships and the brisk, bright dialogue of Lauren’s previous books will find plenty of both to enjoy.” (Publishers Weekly on Wicked Sexy Liar)
“Sweet Filthy Boy lives up to every yummy bit of its title. Each word, each thought, each touch from Ansel is pure, unadulterated SEX. Christina Lauren's assured writing and their ability to create a scorching and witty love story makes them an automatic 1-Click for us.” (The Rock Stars of Romance)
“Hot . . . if you like your hook-ups early and plentiful..." (EW.com on Beautiful Stranger)
“A devilishly depraved cross between a hardcore porn and a very special episode of The Office…For us fetish-friendly fiends to feast on!!” (PerezHilton.com on Beautiful Bastard)
“The thing that I love the most about Christina Lauren and the duo’s Beautiful books is that there is always humor in them. As well as hot steamy moments and some of the sweetest I love you’s.” (BooksSheReads.com)

London is a recent college grad living in the loft she inherited with a roommate. She surfs, tends bar, and works on building her freelance portfolio. She is also recovering from being blindsided by a long term boyfriend who cheated most of their relationship. Luke is another recent grad. His professional life is more organized, but his personal life is a mess. Watching these two come together was so fun!
Wicked Sexy Liar is well written and entertaining to read. London and Luke are both interesting characters who are dealing with past relationship implosions, but in different ways. It took me a little while to warm up to London, she is a character that seemed very stiff initially, especially when she was with Luke. The more I got to know her, the more I understood and liked her a little bit more. Luke is a guy that even though I didn't love his behavior, I liked him from the get go. I was glad to see the light bulb go off for him and to see him start making changes that were for the best no matter what ended up happening with London.
This is the 4th in a series of books, but works well as a stand alone. The authors do an excellent job of incorporating the characters from the previous books in such a way that you don't feel that you are missing too much information. My one complaint centers around how London handled learning of a past connection between her roommate (and the friends made through said roommate) and Luke. It may go back to the fact that she is young, but I felt like she put way too much importance on what the "friends" thought instead of looking at the merits of a friendship/relationship with Luke on it's own.
This is my first book from the authors behind the Christina Lauren pen name, but it won't be the last. I am now very curious to read the first three books in the Wild Seasons series.
I thought Lola and Oliver were my favorite. But Luke and London take the cake. Everything about this story draws you in. Clearly Christina Lauren are polished and seasoned writers. Doesn’t matter…every single book they write blows me away. The type of writing style each chooses is MY style of writing I love to read. Everything flows so nicely. The monologue is just what I'm looking and not overdone, and makes me laugh just as much as their fun, smart and witty dialog. I mean, geez…..the conversations between Luke and London are classic. I have so much highlighted in this particular book I’m not sure which to pick that would perfectly showcase the smart witty banter between these two.
When I realized Luke was Mia’s ex Luke, I wasn’t sure how the authors would redeem him in my eyes, knowing things didn’t end well between them and Luke being the “free spirit” he is. (I’m being kind) But through clever plotting, and not one thing rushed at all, I fell in love with him. He’s flawed and not perfect which is why watching him evolve and grow up into the man he should be, was special. And London…well everything about London is freeing, and easy. She’s so easy going, although she has her walls up, she’s real. And I felt like reading about her “quirks” was more like reading about myself, or maybe issues any woman would have when being faced with dating a man like Luke. (and not to mention he’s your friends ex) But London holds her ground, and has self-respect. Sometimes you want to ring the heroine’s neck or feel like, Oh God, enough with her, she’s annoying. NEVER with London. I was always #TeamLondon, although through most of the book my heart went out to Luke. Poor guy, so misunderstood at times.
The best part of this book was how the rest of the characters in this series easily flow into their story. Mia, Harlow and Lola are all over this book and play key roles in how this story unfolds. As well as Oliver, Finn and Ansel. (Which makes me happy in pants!!!)
I can’t say enough about Wicked Sexy Liar. Christina Lauren always knock it out the park, and this book showcases all of their assets….funny, witty, sexy as all hell. And for sure, this book is memorable and will go on the re-read list.
A definite 5 stars and 5 HOLLAS!!! Totally #TrishMintApproved
London and Luke are both in the series, but not at much length, particularly Luke. We know his backstory, but nothing about him currently. Getting to see inside his head and have him be reunited with these women who used to be such a huge part of his life is very fulfilling. London had been seen in this series previously, but only long enough to mention her hobbies and how she was connected to Lola. In this book, we get into her head and figure out what makes her tick.
Luke and London are perfect. Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved that they pushed and pulled at one another until they couldn't resist any longer. Their relationship felt real. Their friendships with the other characters felt real, as well. I liked the way that the authors addressed the "girl code" that was being broken when London began seeing Luke. Most other books would have gone in different directions, but this one went a messy but rewarding route that I loved seeing up close and personal.
This ended up being my favorite in the series. Definite must read. I loved it!
