Aston Haizea is sick of his engaged younger brother's lying, cheating ways. He's not about to let Gemma fall into Drew's trap, so he sets out to confront her. The only problem is, Gemma has never seen him as more than the scary coven priest. When he goes to confront Gemma, things go a bit awry. The lights are out before he can reveal his identity and when Gemma presses against him, Aston can't help but give in to his desire for her. It's a tricky game Aston is playing, and the harder he falls for Gemma, the more he wonders what will happen when she learns which Haizea is her lover.
Sabrina gets a paranormal twist with Wickedly Good. I loved the premise of the book and the paranormal politics author Anya Breton brings to the story are interesting. However, the story fizzled in the second half. To say something positive, the sex scenes are erotic and the paranormal elements are interesting (if a bit underdeveloped). However, while Aston does some less-than-honorable things, he's generally a likeable, interesting hero. Unfortunately, Gemma goes from being a decent -- if unbelievably naïve -- heroine to being downright frustrating. Though I won't spoil the book, some of the things she does near the end of the story are, in my opinion, unforgiveable, vindictive, and childish. Because I finished Wickedly Good not liking the heroine or understanding how Aston could be in love with her, the story left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Wickedly Good is the first book of Ms. Breton's I've read and while I don't think I'll be reading it again, I would pick up another of her stories.

Aston is a powerful coven priest who's on the verge of the biggest promotion in his political career. He'll do anything to make sure that his younger brother's marriage, sealing an important alliance, takes place. After his plan to bribe Gemma fails, Aston takes his brother's place when the witchy seductress sneaks into Drew's bedroom for some planned sex-capades. Gemma mistakes Aston for Drew and the heat is on. Now, maybe the dude should have fought her off when she jumped his bones....but since when does a man pass up some free smexy? Aston does feel guilty after their mind blowing sex ....but still sets up a rendezvous for the next night where he once again impersonates his little brother.
Now, I might have seen his actions as a betrayal if Gemma hadn't deserved exactly what she got. After all, she did plan to have sex with a man that was already taken. This was the point where I thought: "She must know which brother she's having all that hot sex with". The two guys looked nothing alike, with Aston having a goatee while his brother was baby faced, for gods sakes. The real trick was for Aston to convince Gemma that she knew all along.
This was a short book but the quality of writing was excellent and the story flowed nicely. The characters were vibrant and the chemistry between Aston and Gemma was high voltage. This book was well worth the reading and I look forward to reading more from this author.

I loved the reluctant way the two main characters came together as well as the sparks between them both in and out of the dark. I hope the author has plans to write about the witches in the future because I would love to read more.
