Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Do you have one of those friends whom you can sit down andhave intriguing conversations with for hours?I do, and we once had a discussion about adultery and what-if scenarios, and that's where the idea behind this book was born.

Police Chief Mark Tame was created because I wanted a maincharacter that was like an M & M: hard on the outside, seeminglyunbreakable, but inside sweet, tender, and irresistible.  His wife Shelley is also strong andlevel-headed, but this book looks at the flawed side of those types ofcharacters...and what happens to us when things go wrong...do we makemistakes?  Do we keep a stiff upperlip?

The Wife of a Lesser Man is about karma.  Do we deserve what we get by beingimpulsive?  It's also about forgiveness...whenwe err do our loved ones still protect us?No matter what we've done to hurt them?

This book took about eighteen months in total to write.  It was re-written several times on the adviceof an editor.  During the editing processvaluable lesson were learned: building suspense and creating a page-turnerwithout all the fluff were a few skills I walked away with.  I loved the characters so much I wrote twomore and created a series (Don't Mess with Daddy's Girl, and The Wheels of Change)....am I finished?  Probably not...

I should also mention that the books in this LA Cops series can be read in any order.

About the Author

Inspiration struck in 2006 when Sandy was up to her elbows in dirty diapers, caring for her two children. It took two years to pen a 50 page memoir, but she did it. Motivation to write has been with her ever since. Now she writes suspense novels in all genres: mystery, romance, Christian, police-procedural. Canadian born and married for ten years, Sandy lives with her husband, two daughters and an eleven pound cat.
