When I first got these I wondered whether or not I had made the right purchase. They were small, packed in a rather generic looking plastic case, and looked only slightly more durable than the cheap jeweler's screwdrivers I was replacing them with. I was very wrong in my initial assessment.

First of all, these are perfectly cut to dig right into the screws. Rather than sliding around and stripping them, these pretty much fit so perfectly that there's not place to slide and strip screws.

Secondly, they perform admirably when it comes to turning the tightest screw. My old set failed to remove screws from my notebook's hard drive sleeve (apparently tightened by an employee burning off steam into tight screws). In fact, every effort I made to turn the screw ended up having my old set rip across my hand leaving my skin raw. On the other hand, this set allows for a comfy grip, and popped out those stubborn screws with virtually no force whatsoever.

I highly recommend these if you're trying to manage those tiny screws in computer systems. That cheap plastic case also makes a good holder for said screws as well. :P

Extremely Practical

I got this set to replace a mix of other small screwdrivers that I've lost or broken over the years.

Although I know of a few other brands that make sets like these (with a similar degree of quality) they are vastly
different with what you will encounter elsewhere, especially at retailers like lowes or walmart. I wouldn't try to buy anything like this
there.

Assuming that the blade/shaft and handle are put together well (which they incidentally aren't in most "precision" sets) then the only thing that really matters is how comfortable the handle is (which is a matter of preference, I happen to thing these handles are excellent), the type and general quality of the steel, and the treatments to the actual blade of the screwdriver. Any of the other sets on offer (like the generic black and chrome 6 piece sets that inexplicably include flat head drivers which are all but useless in this size) pale in comparison in these regards. For instance, the 7-10 dollar 6 piece set that most people buy have blades that are press fit into the slim uncomfortable handles, meaning that as you slowly abuse the drivers over time (this was putting them in a pair of vise grips to apply more torque in my case) the blades, especially the small sized ones, have a high risk of simply popping out . The blades themselves on those types of screwdrivers are pretty much guaranteed to be made of the cheapest steel available, meaning that if you try to apply a lot of torque when using them to repair any product that uses high quality fasteners, the blade will wear down and deform. Why the hell do people buy them? Because they are designed to look reliable, they are cheap, and have a treatment that I suspect is meant to achieve the dual purpose of masking the cheap steel and providing a semi-permanent magnetization.

These on the other hand have molded grips that won't come apart from the shaft, are made of a steel alloy that is actually designed for tools, and are very comfortable. Some people have commented that they are cheaply made or at least appear to be cheap. None of that is true. What they are most likely referring to is the lack of any finish on most of the surfaces. There is a tiny amount of flash running along the handle, and two sites where the plastic is injected from on the black handle and the rotating red end. Since they left these things on you can tell how well calibrated their process is. You can see all of this pretty clearly in the photo. I've seen a lot a screwdrivers with polished blades, these aren't for obvious reasons. The smallest one (000) appears to use the same gauge steel as the 00 and is initially machined not pressed which is another visual artifact someone might complain about. Bottom line is that if you use small screwdrivers often enough to write rants about them then you should get this set.

Easily the best small screwdrivers you can buy

I have been using these for many years and the oldest ones still perform well. I needed some smaller sizes and so bought this set. The feature of having the red cap rotate is part of what sets these screwdrivers apart. It is possible to put pressure on the tip where it hits against the screw and easily rotate the screwdriver tip at the same time. It makes it much less likely that the screwdriver tip will come out of the screw head whether tightening or un-tightening a screw.

I like the soft plastic case. The hard plastic cases like those provided with the otherwise excellent Vaco small screwdriver sets break after a matter of months and then need a rubber band to hold them together. The soft plastic pouch also takes less space in a drawer or tool case.

Fits my Sony Laptop...it's a miracle!

The 00 fits the microscopic screws on my Sony Vaio. I was about to give up but gave these a try. I had bought some Moody's and they had too much give, although they were slotted and not phillips. I also have a complete set of micro screwdriver tips but nothing would fit these tiny screws. Wiha was my last hope. I may have to go into the business of repairing laptops since I have all these tools!

If you're in need of precision phillips head screwdrivers -- LOOK NO FURTHER!

I really lost hope in ever finding decent "precision" screwdrivers. I've always had to deal with those 5 dollar sets that came in a plastic case. Then I found Wiha! I do not have a single complaint about these screw drivers. I have had them for almost 2 years now, and have used them dozens of times -- mostly for working on guitars and electronics. These are really great. I use the two biggest ones the most (PH1 and PH0). The two smaller ones are VERY small. SUPER small. In my mind when I first decided to purchase them -- I thought they were a bit pricy, but after using them so many times, I can tell you, I'm super happy I have them. If you're in need of some precision phillips head screwdrivers, I would most definitely get these!

Quality screwdriver set, just what I needed for the tiny screws found on watches!! Don't buy the cheap screwdrivers, they do not have quality metal and it deforms easily. Those can strip the screw heads. These will not.

I can't believe I needed to even purchase this. My sons nintendo hand held game stopped working. The on-line solution was to remove and replace the battery (same battery, not a new one) and it should work. Unfortunately I did not have a screw driver as small as that was required, this did the trick and his game was working within minutes.

The quality seems good but I have no idea if I would ever need to use them again.
