This is a good product. I was hoping that it was "made in germany", but to my surprise it was "made in italy". I thought all Wiha tools were german made and I was wrong :-). The product is for serious professionals.

I just got them today, they look very nice, and feel not cheap ( made in Italy )
They are a little shorter in real life than they are in the picture:)

If it didn't have the circular notch out of one side this would be a 5-star product. The notch isn't useful for cutting nor stripping cables, and takes away what could have been usable cutting area.

Anyone who says "it'll last you forever" doesn't use snips professionally. I've gone through numerous pairs of snips as a low-voltage and A/V tech, and these are my favorite so far. The hinge screw on these is perfect - tight enough to cut well, not too tight to cut at all. Stainless-steel Kleins are the opposite and dull too quickly in my experience. They also have slightly curved blades which you cannot sharpen easily - Wiha blades are flat so I suspect I can though I haven't had the need yet.

I don't know how why or where, but a piece of the handle chipped off one day at work. Hasn't hurt functionality, just mentioning it as you can see it in a photo I've uploaded. Owned for about two months.

These shears are very well made and have a slight serration on one of the blades. At first I wasn't sure about how this would work out, but having used them for a few days I have to say that I really like them. It's a tool that will stay in my go bag for sure.

I use these shears for electronics work at a bench. They're probably intended for heavier-duty work than that, but I like them because they're compact, sharp, and have essentially no play in the mechanism. They came well lubricated from the factory. The handles are nicely finished and comfortable.

I'm thinking about cutting off the red plastic to get more finger room, but what is underneath..clean edges and finish or course stamping burrs?
The holes are too small for my average hand/fingers, they fit but its not comfortable. They work great otherwise.

these snips are a bit chunky and not quite as useful as my D-handled snips. I keep them mainly as a backup pair of snips. They are made vary well but have less leverage than D-handled snips but more leverage then regular snips. My old splicing partner was there when these came in the mail, and fell in love with them, he is an old time type splicer around from the days of pot wiping, and still going strong and these snips seemed perfect for him.

Get some Klein or Clauss snips. These chew through cable. Not pretty. These recall memories of kindergarten scissors on anything but paper. Very sharp, but poorly aligned blades keep them from being good. The price sets a high bar that they fail to meet.

Stick to Wiha screwdrivers. Nobody makes them better.
