Wiha tools are highly respected in Europe, and are growing in popularity here in the USA. I have used multiple Wiha tools on occasion, and can tell you that they are quite comparable in every way to the Snap-On, Mac Tools, Matco, Cornwell which inhabit my tool box. Their quality of matierials, fit, finish, construction - these are top drawer tools. Highly recommended especially at internet pricing levels.

this is an excellent set of premium tools appropriate for someone, like myself, who makes a living working on electronics. A lot of my business is evaluating and repairing older (late 70s-mid 80s) electronic instruments, and, given that these machines often have a fair amount of particularly static/ESD sensitive components, I opted to pay the premium for this ESD-safe set (along with purchasing ESD safe Wiha cutters/strippers/pliers/tweezers, etc). These tools are excellent. They are comfortable, they are precision made, and they are tough. I was tired of mid-range tool sets where smaller driver tips would easily bend (these do not) and where the construction quality was simply not uniform. This bench set covers all of your small driver needs, with appropriate straight, Phillis, hex, torx, nut and a chip puller. Handles are all proportionally tapered to the size of the driver.

If you work with smaller discreet electronics, this set will not disappoint. If you are looking at spending this amount on a set of premium tools such as this one, you likely have experienced the cheap stuff and know that a set like this is going to make your work easier rather than working against you, saving both your time and your money.

I waited a few weeks after purchase to post this to let the glow wear off and posted this review a few weeks of intense use. at no point was I disappointed with the set or felt any buyers remorse due to the premium price. I liken it to buying a Rolex or similar Swiss timepiece - the quality is evident just holding it and a set like this will likely serve you faithfully the rest of your career.

Nearly every size you'll need for fine work and then some. They're comfortable to hold and use and sure beats the cheap $20 set of small screwdrivers you'll find elsewhere which usually deteriorate after their first use.

My only complain is the holder. While fairly small, it does it's job, it doesn't seem like much though went into how you'd arrange the bits. It's an 8x7 arrangement. I would love to have had something that held every type of bit in line, but it's small and light enough to pick up and push the bit you're after out from the bottom.

While they are very high quality, you can still damage them if you're not careful. The flathead heads will bend if you're using it on the wrong size screw……like my son did with mine. :(

Worth $300 plus? Yes. You'll have them for a very long time.

I had this set for about 2 years. I use it to service lots of electronics. It is very nice to have just about every imaginable size that you would need. I would perhaps only supplement it with a security set if you need that. The fact that they are ESD gives me piece of mind that I will not be damaging any of the devices I work on.

The tray stand that comes with the set is nice if you work on a bench. I need to be mobile and so the tray stand was not going to work. The most ingenious solution I found for portability and to keep them organized is to use a roll up pouch that was intended for artist that use colored pencils. With two Niji pouches I was able to fit the entire set with room for any extra tools in case you decide you need to augment with a security set for example. I keep slotted, philips, torx and chip lifter in one pouch and in the other the hex and nut drivers.

There was a review on this item or it was the non-esd ones. I kept looking at it, daily, wow these are expensive, I need them for my bench set blah blah blah... Finally when I read their review they said, something like if you are looking at it everyday, just buy it, you will use them. THEY WERE RIGHT! Best screwdriver set i've ever owned as with all Wiha tools.

Everything feels top notch when it comes to this set.
First off, the base is made of painted metal not clear acrylic as pictured. This is a good thing as most shop owners/users will tell you, plastic tends to break/crack when your doing actual work in and around.
The screwdrivers come packaged separately in plastic wrap, but not all together. They are packaged according to type (Slotted, Philips, etc) There IS a chip lifter included. It came without a single scratch on anything and absolutely no excess plastic or burs on anything anywhere...almost makes me sad to use such a pristine set...almost.

When it comes to actual use, the top of the screwdrivers fits perfectly into my hands ( large/xlarge) and spins easily like a well oiled gear. I have zero problems with usage. The little extra length is a good thing with the shaft of the tools as it lets me get to some slightly harder to reach places. If you already know the size of the screws you will be working with then the added bonus of having the sides stamped with the exact size and type of screwdriver you are looking at makes your jobs THAT much easier, you can lay out the tools needed while working on sensitive electronics under a magnifying glass.

This set is not only comfortable and high quality, its downright sexy. I will let you know when/if the screen printing on the sides rub off....but this IS the best set I have ever bought and I full plan on buying a full size set of screw drivers/bits from them just because of that top level of quality....in case i ever need to use em...yep...I'm that impressed.
