Calves are 17 inches size 9 boot and I had plenty of play room to make larger or smaller. This boot really kicked up my wardrobe for winter and keep my feet warm in the winter. I've read in reviews that the ankles are a little bulky and Honestly I got used to it after a couple wears. The Bulkiness isn't enough to distract me from fashion and I constantly get compliments on them. plus it gives me plenty of room for movement in my ankles. It is all the lacing. and once you lace them to your fit, all you need to put them on in the future is the zipper. No fuss, Easy on and easy off.

I have already owned these boots in brown for about three years now. Though, that pair was purchased at the mall. I really wanted them in black back then, but brown was all the store carried. So, when I saw these same boots on Amazon, in black no less, I almost had a religious experience. Get in my shopping cart.

As I said, my original pair is three years old, and has held up quite well as my favorite pair of boots. They still look good, and I still get complimented on them almost every time I have them on.

Very comfortable. I work downtown and unfortunately have to repark my car every two hours, which entails a fair amount of walking sometimes. But, in these boots it's no problem. My feet are never hurting at the end of the day, and they're stylish enough for the office.

I had no idea when I bought them that I would love them so much, and even come back for a second pair. Ah, l'amour.....it's beautiful, no? *single tear*

Fit was perfect except for the calf. I have 13.5" calves and you can see in the picture they're a bit baggy. As with any boot, you need an insert to make them softer inside, but these boots are a steal! Good quality for the price. I plan on getting them in other colors.

I did love these boots however.. I work in a daycare so I was wearing them basically everyday as I am in and out between different buildings. I got them in August and didn't really start wearing them until a month or so ago? NC weather is crazy and I wore them because of all this rain we've been having and I'm not rough on boots. Today however I noticed it coming apart from the sole. It really sucks that I can not find a well constructed boot that will hold up to everyday wear.... I really loved these boots they were really comfortable and not heavy.... Ahhhh it's a shame really.... Another one bites the dust....

I'm really happy with these boots! I wasn't sure about the fit when I ordered them. I usually wear an 8 1/2 and thought I better order a 9 to be safe. I think I would have been just fine with I ordered the 8 1/2. But even so, I wore them from 7:00 in the morning all day at work, then went to a local county fair, walking for hours, and was comfortable the whole day. I'm 5' 7" and they come about an inch below my knee caps. The laces and the buckles are adjustable for some room to work with too. Love them! And, they came fast, which I was happy about!

Love these boots! I read the reviews on how they fit somewhat large, but I still ordered a 9 and Im glad I did. It gives room if you have thick socks and it was a perfect fit. Depending on the shoe, I can where anywhere from an 8 1/2 to 9 1/2. So the 9 was perfect. I also have larger calves so it's difficult to find boots that fit me. My only complaint is that the buckles are not adjustable so if you have larger calves you will not be able to wear these unless you punch another hole in the buckle. The laces are adjustable and that does help.

My shoe size: 8.5 wide
Boot size: 8.5

Despite not specifying wide fit, these turned out to be very comfortable and fit nicely. No pinching anywhere.

Calf: 39 cm
Boot calf: Fits! Can probably go up to 46 cm, actually... Maybe even 1 cm larger but not sure, but laces are very long.

After relacing the boots they fit perfect.

I would not wear these boots in temperatures lower than 0 C / 32 F (this might be pushing it). There is padding on the inside which keeps the legs and feet warm.

Not really much cushioning on the insole; if standing/ walking frequently, might be worthwhile to get cushy insoles.

The metal balls next to the shoelaces are built in; not glued in or sewn in. Seems like some kind of rivet.

I have no complaints about quality. Not squeaky, not bulky, no frayed or loose seams.

Boot legs will not stand on their own, one could probably get some cardboard support to keep it straight up when not wearing them, if that is an issue for anyone.
