Jodie has been burned before, and there is little chance the new neighbor and his strange ways are what she needs right now. After-all, he wears cowboy boots at the beach and is a little too into Johnny Cash. Is it possible his sexy abs and killer casserole could outweigh his Texan flaws?

I enjoyed learning more about Jodie's character and being introduced to new faces in book two. I think anyone who wants to read this should do themselves a favor and read Inked Hearts (book one) first to truly appreciate the details found in Wild Hearts! As usual, Lindsay develops characters you can relate to and weaves them into an enjoyable story line. Looking forward to another installation soon!

Jodie's story is lil wild!

Wild Hearts is book 2 in the Lines in the Sand series. This is Jodie's story! As you remember in book 1, Jodie is horror writer and a waitress at Midsummer Nights. She lives in a apartment in Ocean City, Maryland. Her best friend Avery moved out with her boyfriend and now Jodie has to find a new roommate. We get more info about her and others that were in book 1.
One day, she meets her new neighbor, Levi Creed , he's a cowboy from Texas moved to Ocean City because want's to spend more time with his Grandpa. The first time they meet each other she is mad because she can't concentrate between the music and his parrot. As they get to know each other and the story continues , you see they are two people with wild hearts. The chemistry between them , first kiss is hot.

Jodi is a fierce little firecracker who is afraid to settle so she is a wild and crazy girl living life on the beach.
Levi used to be a saddle bronc rider but got hurt and now seeking a new future at the beach.

Some of my favorite parts are:
"To the rebels,and the wild hearts in their chests that refuse to be tamed."

"To the wild hearts, may we forever be free and roaming."

"What, tipping cows?" (laughed at this part)

"Love requires courage, it's true. but that doesn't mean it can't be beautiful and worth it."

My favorite part of the story is when Levi was hiding something under a sheet. You'll have to read the story to find out what that is.

If you've read 'Inked Hearts' then you will remember Jodi as the larger than life best of Avery who always puts herself out there, enjoying life and partying. When Avery moves out, Jodi needs to find herself a new roommate, which doesn't go so well, having to contend with someone who enjoys life even more than she does. In addition she has a new neighbour in the form of sexy cowboy, Levi.

Their first encounter sees them clashing as do a number of their other meetings but the chemistry between them is undeniable. Jodi finds her priorities changing, whilst still wanting to enjoy life. Levi is a grounding influence on Jodi, showing there are other ways of enjoying yourself that don't involve constant partying.

These were great characters once again that moved the story along at the right pace. There was a chance that Jodi could have completely drowned out Levi's character but Lindsay Detwiler managed to balance them both brilliantly. A thoroughly well weaved story.

What a wild ride in this book!

In this second book, we meet Levi and Gemma Rayne. How do each of these two people come into the scene in Jodie's life? It truly is funny in some ways and shocking in others. It is fun to see all the interesting things that happen when we learn more about Levi, his past, and Gemma's nasty attitude towards people and some animals. She's too wild!! Even more than our Jodie is. I cannot believe some of the things that happened in this book and cannot wait to read Texan Hearts.

Wild Hearts is the latest book written by Lindsay Detwiler and once again I wasn't disappointed by her nice,funny and sweet words so easy to read.

Jodie,our heroine, is an horror writer,Levi,our Hero, is a cowboy.They are now neighbours in Ocean City,they are attracted from each other at the first sight but their relationship grows slowly because their wild hearts are harder to tame than a bronco and their disillusioned idea of love is difficult to change.

I adored to see again the supporting characters they still are an eclectic bunch.

I really enjoyed Jodie and Levi's story. Jodie was a very relatable character with protecting herself from relationships and love. Levi was a great guy to help tear down her guards. There is just something about the new guy moving in and making too much racket that is a great start to any romance. The addition of a noisy parrot plus the return of Avery and Jesse made the story feel like you were coming home to friends. I very much look forward to reading more in this series.

Wild Hearts puts us back in Ocean City with our friends from Inked Hearts (Lines in the Sand #1) and I was looking very forward to seeing what the cast of characters was going to do this time. It was great getting to know Jodie better in this book while she figured out if her broken, wild heart was ready for Levi-the Texan that seemed a bit out of his element in Ocean City.

Wild Hearts is a very good romance novel. A really great romance novel that keeps your attention. It is hard to put down till you get to the end. I love the characters and the way it ended was a surprise to me. A must read.
