The book covers everything from the traditional Polish breakfasts, snacks, soups, hearty classics such as bigos, street food, to puddings, bakes and an entire chapter on flavoured vodkas. Recipes are modern twists in classics inspired from culinary traditions passed down through Ren's family to recent trips to Poland and the emerging modern food scene.
There are recipes for all tastes (plenty of vegetarian options) and the vast majority of ingredients can be sourced from any supermarket. Beautifully and personally written with family anecdotes and memories you feel that Ren is in the kitchen chatting to you and guiding you though ever step.
One for every cookbook collection, lovers of Poland and Eastern Europe and armchair culinary travellers.

The recipes, whether simple or more complicated, are easy to follow and have a modern twist, often taking into account current trends.
I would have liked a few more recipes for other well known Polish dishes, but on the other hand, I can look forward to these in the next book.
All in all, a very pleasing cookbook for anybody looking for something slightly different to the norm.
As someone of Polish heritage, I love Polish food but have found it quite labour-intensive to make. This book has got me cooking! The recipes are traditional favourites with a modern twist and really easy to make. I love it.
I travel to Poland and often take my friends, who have also enjoyed Polish food so it has given me great pleasure to buy a number of copies and give them as gifts.
Great job - promotion of Polish food on TV next, Ren!
