About the Author

Les Stroud’s work as a filmmaker, author, and musician has been celebrated around the globe. Credited with creating the survival TV genre, Les remains a prolific artist focused on celebrating nature.



Andrew P. Barr is an illustrator and graphic designer living on the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario. His illustrations have appeared in national newspapers and magazines, and on books, T-shirts, rock ‘n’ roll album covers, and movie posters.

Just got this book and have started reading the stories to my little guy at bedtime. We both enjoyed the content and the easy to understand lessons from the stories. I think the book is really well written for kids to be able to understand.
The book also has some great photos of Les while in the field, I think that's a really nice touch and makes the stories, real adventures, not just something made up to sell books. I'm so happy I picked this one up and can't wait to try some of the suggestions.
