Sturdy Plastic with Streamlined Design
Made of durable plastic, the ATV is big enough to stand up to rough play, yet small enough to store away easily when playtime is over. With only three major parts -- the ATV, headset, and remote control -- it's straightforward for such a sophisticated toy. Younger children might need help adjusting the headset for optimum viewing of the video feed. Also, parents will need to use a screwdriver to install and replace the 12 "AA" batteries (not included).

Hours of spying fun
The ATV looks rugged and tough, with its heavy black tread and thin antennae. A video camera mounted to the front transmits a video feed to a monitor in the headset while a sound sensor on the top of the ATV sends audio through an earbud. Children can drive the ATV around corners and under furniture, while simultaneously seeing and hearing what the vehicle does. Its big tires lets it climb easily over obstacles -- like dirty laundry.

The video and audio worked flawlessly when we tested them, although we found the video a little hard to see. It took a little trial and error to figure out how to get the vehicle to go where we wished, but we think kids who have experience driving remote control cars will pick it up quickly. With a little practice, kids will be proficient with this entertaining toy.

This remote-controlled tank wirelessly transmits real-time video and audio back to a private headset. The new track-based movement system allows the ATV to climb over obstacles and lets secret agents inspect enemy territory from the safety of their own spy headquarters. Scope out a room and hear if anyone is coming from up to 75 feet away. Confirm the coast is clear by pushing a button on the remote control to perform a 360-degree room scan. Full-circle turns offer early detection of renegade spies approaching from any direction. Because plain-sight video monitors are not acceptable in the spy world, the ATV-360 sends images to a private LCD lens mounted to a pair of lightweight frames. My son really wanted this for Christmas and out of all the toys he received, he played with this the most. He loves it! It's really age appropriate for age 8 and up. It's durable and worth it for the price paid on Amazon. I would recommend. The only draw back, if one - is that the video feed is in black and white and not color. Also, the audio feed only works when the tank isn't moving...but I think that's reasonable. However, my son doesn't seem to mind the two points above. The tank when it moves does look really cool.

My only complaints about it are that you can't hear anything while the toy is moving, and the picture quality is not so great, just a grainy black-and- white. Despite these issues, this toy is a lot of fun. I think it is over priced at close to $100 we only got it because we found a good sale and picked it up for $60-which I think is a fair price.

I had told my son that Not in a Million Years would he get this toy! Well, God had other ideas! This toy really does work. It almost works too good! We had to put restrictions on where he could use this ATV.

One downside of the toy is this: While the toy is moving you can't hear. There is an ear piece that allows you to hear what is going on, but while the ATV is moving it some how effects the sound and you can't hear anything. However, you can still see while it is moving.

It's fairly durable as far as the ATV itself. You have a huge antennae sticking up and that is not durable. You do have to be careful with that part.

The other draw back is the number of batteries it takes. It takes a ton of batteries, so be aware of this one point.

Trust me, YOU will love this ATV; never mind your kids!!

This was a birthday present for my son. He searched the amazon website and found this. I wouldn't have purchased this based on previous reviews, but since this was his top pick I ordered it. At first he liked it. He could wear the spy piece over his eye and see what the vehicle was seeing. He didn't like the black and white picture or picture quality very much. The vehicle stopped working after a couple of days, so we assumed the batteries needed to be replaced. We went out and purchased 12 rechargeable batteries, and it still didn't work. So we tried 12 regular batteries and it still didn't work. Now we sent it back, which was a big hassle. Hopefully I'll get my money back. This is a poor quality product. My son played gently with this for only a couple of days. This was a major disappointment for his birthday, and he doesn't want another. He wants a different product, and this time, I told him it needs to be highly rated.

Not impressed. The video is black and white and doesn't work well at all when you are controlling the tank. It flickers and makes it hard to see and hear unless the vehicle is completely stopped. The kids thought it was more fun than I did at first. But then the left side of the tread quit working intermittently so it would only turn in big circles. Now my kids have gotten it out again, and the sound and video no longer work at all. So we haven't even had it a year, they've played with it half a dozen times, and it's going in the garbage.
