Riley is the youngest Chiasson and has been kidnapped by the voodoo priestess Delphine. She has been gone for two months and her brothers and cousins have looked everywhere. Marshall is the sheriff of Lyons Point and decides enough is enough......he goes to New Orleans to look for Riley. Marshall hasn't officially met Riley, only seeing her once, he feels drawn to her.
Now to the review: The book was amazing. I did 4 instead of 5 stars only because i felt it was a little short. But that mostly has to do with loving the book and not wanting it to end. i wanted to know more in their story. Perhaps a few more sex scenes, cause i'm just a horn ball and need my book porn!
Paranormal romance books are my fav. And books like this are why. Donna has a way to make the unbelievable believable. I get enough of reality in my reality. So i want my books to be that escape of fantasy. But who wants a book that is so out there, you can't imagine it? Somehow Donna has that balance of being 'out there' so i get my escape, but the way she twists and turns the plot, and explains things in her books, keep it all grounded, and more believable. I've read nearly all of her books and will continue to do so. This book was wonderful, and I highly recommend the entire series to you. I also recommend the LaRue series too. The LaRue's make an appearance in this one.
Can't wait to find out Kane's story. Already pre ordered.
Thanks for another wonderful story DG!
I don't think I ever have held my breath while reading a book before, but I sure did with this one! I was an emotional wreck when I was done reading it, then I went back to read it again!
Riely and Marshall are absolutely fantastic. This is my favorite book of the Chiasson's!
