This collection was so good. It is really 2 stories broken up across four books. My advice would be to read the second story first as they take place first in the timeline and we get to meet many characters from the first two stories. Things make a lot more sense and it feels a little backwards to read them as they are set up. All the stories in the book have such depth, and though they are long, they are very fast paced. Super steamy and satisfying. Love them.

This was my first time reading Blackthorne & I'm now a covert! I love reading regency stories w/my one complaint of the usual "dryness" ... no heat.. because of the time period. It makes it seem like they never had sex or affairs. Blackthorne's erotic regencies are a gold mine of both complex characters & high levels of heat.

This bundle was a steal @ 99cents, which is why I decided to try an unknown. My favorite was GREY'S LADY (167 pages) introducing a wanton girl looking a bit of excitement that leads to so much more. WHITE LACE & PROMISES, continues the previous story (357 pages) of whether the H & h can over-come their social differences & let love prevail. ALEX'S ANGEL ( 500 pages, no typo) introduces a woman so passionate about the story in her book, she'll even sell her innocence to get it printed. EMILY'S SEDUCTION (282 pages) was my least favorite. It continued the story of ALEX'S ANGEL but I didn't care for the "sharing" nor the constant, & I mean constant, breaking up & petty misunderstandings.

I took a star off of my rating b/c of the ridiculous length of 3 of the 4 books. Very few stories can hold you interest that are over 300+, let alone 500 pages.....Seriously?!?! These weren't GONE W/THE WIND, but good solid regency tales that were often bogged down w/repetitive passages & situations that could have been told in 2-3 paragraphs, not 2-3 chapters.

Blackthorn has alot of talent but she either needs an editor or a new one who can help keep her wonderful stories to 200-250 pages. It will improve the pace & entice more readers. I hope her future tales are less cumbersome.

I have always been a fan of historical romance novels and this series did not disappoint I have to say I have never read one quite as steamy as this set so if you are looking for sizzling hot, you've picked the right set!

I was particularly impressed with the storylines that were very creative and kept my interest in seeing the outcome! The array of characters were equally fascinating, from lovable to detestable!

The writing style was wonderful, transporting you back in time with such finesse that you could easily visualize each scene as if you were there!

I will definitely be reading more by this talented author!

What an incredible journey I've taken through time with Beth and Grey as well as Emily and Alex. These characters came to life for me through vivid descriptive narrative, intelligent and witty dialogue, and their emotional journeys as they navigated the tight rope walk of societal norms and mores of the Regency Period.

Each book in the series was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 star) read. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite though, I admit, I have a special place in my heart for Emily's Seduction. This set is a must read for fans of historical romance, regency romance, and historical erotica. The women in this series are not shrinking violets when it comes to their own sexuality. They are adventurous, spirited young ladies who each go through an emotional journey, fraught with many highs and lows, on their way to finding themselves as well as true love. The men in this series are each beautifully flawed and in need of the love and care of the right woman, though neither knows it, of course,

There is much that is familiar in these stories. The historical settings and formal language of "polite society", for example. These will make historical romance fans feel right at home. But there is so much more emotional depth, sexual freedom, and frank and open discussions between the couples, that these stories stand out as fresh and new in a sea of sameness. I loved each one of these stories and envy others who will get to experience them for the first time through this amazing collection. Highly recommended box set from an incredibly talented author, Natasha Blackthorne.
