About the Author

RC Boldt is the wife of Mr. Boldt, a retired Navy Chief, mother of Little Miss Boldt, and former teacher of many students. She currently lives on the southeastern coast of North Carolina, enjoys long walks on the beach, running, reading, people watching, and singing karaoke. If you're in the mood for some killer homemade mojitos, can't recall the lyrics to a particular 80's song, or just need to hang around a nonconformist who will do almost anything for a laugh, she's your girl.

Wildest Dream
My review.

I was approached by the author to promote this debut. After reading the blurb I knew it would be something I would enjoy, and enjoy it I did.

I love slow burn romances. I enjoyed how both Raine and Mac became good friends, I loved their banter, and their closeness. I enjoyed reading the sizzle between them when they were both denying their own feelings for each other. And I loved reading the sexy times when they finally admitted those feelings. The author really made this work!!

I felt the book was written well and the balance was just right between friendship and relationship.

I loved the additional characters and the humour threaded throughout. I think my favourite laugh out loud moment was this....

“Seriously?” Tate stared at him. “What are you, twelve?” “Inches,” he muttered.

I snickered like a 12 year old at that!!!

Towards the end I was soooooo mad at Mac when he became a number one douche!!!! I was cursing at my kindle. Also towards the end I was worried that, as its the first in a series, this was going to be a cliffhanger ending, but it wasn't and I didn't feel the ending was rushed, although things were cut a little fine for my nerves!!!!!

My only critique would be that sometimes, the characters dialogue was a little long, and I found myself losing track of who was speaking and having to re read. But I read late at night, so that could be the reason too!!!

I recommend this debut to anyone who loves slow burn, contemporary romances. And I'm looking forward to reading the next instalment from this author, as I'm intrigued to learn more about other characters, such as Laney, Tate, Adam and the mysterious Miller!!! Hopefully I'll get some answers the more this series develops.

I received an arc for my honest review.

Where do I begin? Wildest Dream by RC Boldt is a great debut novel. One may look at the cover and be led to believe that this book falls in line with the likes of other contemporary romance novels. However, the character development is much stronger and while other novels focus solely on the physical relationship between the two main characters, this book really draws a strong connection between Mac and Raine. This level of development allows the reader to really become involved with the characters and begin to root for the relationship to take hold and grow. As a reader, I greatly enjoyed seeing a departure from the standard formula and feeling as if I could be part of the group of friends that were featured in the book.

Overall, the book is a great read that highlights friendships and relationships that are real world with complex ins and outs. The book explores the sad, real life grit that soldiers deal with when coming back from war as well as the lighthearted awkwardness that many young women encounter in the dating world. The ability to delve from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other is quite an ability on behalf of the author. No aspect of the story seems too far fetched or unbelievable like many other books in this genre.

Great job to RC Boldt! I really look forward to reading the next book in the Teach Me series.

ARC from publisher for an honest review.
Wow, what another great, new author for me! RC has such a great writing style that you cant help but fall instantly in love with her characters.
Right off the bat, we are caught in a tough situation. Sorrow, heartbreak and loss all happen within the first 5 pages and you cant help buy cry for Mac. Fast forward 2 years and we meet Raine in her own version of a comical hell if there ever was one. Oh, the joys of blind dating. But that is not where Mac and Raine come together. When the meet for the first time, Mac has already been warned to not treat Raine as he does all his other conquests, but that doesn’t stop the connection that they both feel. As they begin to spend time together at work teaching and going to the karaoke bar with their fellow friends and co-workers, they begin to forge a friendship that will last the spans of time. Only, the friendship is not the only thing that they want, they also want each other, if only temporary. But how long can temporary last? When an old friend comes to visit Raine, that question will be answered and could change the course of these two peoples lives forever.
RC, I cant wait to read more from you with the Teach Me series!

Wildest Dreams is a book worth reading. Raine is looking for love in all the wrong places. Her and her close knit friends they have the time of their lives together. Mac is friends.with Forster and Laney which in turn are friend with Raine. That is how Mac becomes part of the circle and he become's one of Raine' best friends. Raine and Mac do everything together he even becomes.her running buddy. Mac being Mac never opens himself up to Love for anyone. So when he cant fight his attractions to Raine he offers one night to get her out of his system, but he didn't know.one night wouldn't be enough. Raine not the one night stand type agrees because her draw to Mac is so strong. Can Mac really see what is right in front of him is real and not like his pass. Can Raine accept that Mac just might not be able to open up to what she has to offer. Will two people that are so wrong for each other or so.they think, find the One in each other. All I can say is sit back and enjoy the ride of Raine & Mac discovering What True love feels like, but can they hold on to it.
