I found this a charming meditation on reading, writing, reading more, and writing more, with a healthy dose of happy and productive solitude for letting it all happen. The visual style is simplistic, but so is Dilbert's - it gets the ideas across in a playful way. This isn't one to over-think. Just kick back, enjoy it, and, if you've read this far, expect to see yourself at least once or twice.
I was not disappointed. The cover had a delightful surprise. It looks like a children’s book, but the contents run deep. Snider wrote from a true reader and writer’s heart, which exactly mirrored my own heart. I love books and would like to be a writer.
Every page I turn in this book makes me laugh or think, so it will sit on a table of honor near my bookshelf forever. Anyone who wants to judge me by my bookshelf, feel free. There is no better way to know me.
I will think twice before I turn up my nose to a graphic book again.
As I was reading I kept going "Yes, Yes" often seeing myself and others in the book (and yes, I do judge (too strong a word) people by their bookshelf - or rather by the lack of them).
I read at all times - pretty much anywhere - I always have book and a notebook with me.
Now I know what I am buying all my reading/ writing friends for their birthdays.

I don't read a lot of this kind of thing but i loved this soo much.
It made me laugh and smile and it just 'got me'.
The illustrations are cute, quirky and colourful and the range of 'comic stories,' are awesome, perfect for readers and writers.
This is a great coffee table book (feel so grown up saying that!) i'll have it out on display and its the perfect book to flick through, or pick it up for 10 minutes here, 10 minutes there.
It’s an interesting little mixture, from the books I’ve not yet finished to how to arrange your book shelves, it’s all really quite relatable. If you’re fan of Tom Gauld, there’s a lot here you’ll like
If you love reading or love books (no, not the same thing…) or write then I would unreservedly recommend this book - it is a real GEM. If I could give it more than five stars then I would.
