Before discovering the Blake Tarot, for many years I worked primarily with the Thoth Tarot, which is also very beautiful but in a way that has always seemed to me to be glamorously seductive in it's beauty. Also, much as I appreciate the beauty and power of the Thoth Tarot, I've never been comfortable with the decadent persona and dark energy of Alastair Crowley, its creator. On a search for an alternative, I discovered what I was looking for in the William Blake Tarot - cards that reflected a spiritual path untainted by black magic. I guess you could describe them as "wholesome", but not in any mundane sense of the word. I trust William Blake to respond to life's mysteries with sound, loving insight and guidance. In four years of working with this deck he has never let me down.
