From the Manufacturer

Air Swimmers swim through the air with incredibly smooth and life-like swimming motion. These amazing fish provide hours of remote control indoor fun in even the smallest of rooms (not for outdoor use). They require only four AAA batteries (one in the body, three in the controller) and have complete up, down and 360 degree turning control. The Shark is remote infra-red controlled and will respond to your inputs moving up and down most importantly left to right with fish like tail movement. Remote control has never come to life so magically! The helium filled fish body is made from durable nylon and with appropriate use will stay inflated for weeks depending on altitude. The William Mark Corporation has been dedicated to developing unique, high-quality products for extraordinary flight performance. The company was formed when Mark Forti, then a junior at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, invented the X-zylo™ for a marketing project. The product's performance amazed everyone who saw it. After stumping his physics professor as to why the object flew, Mark took it to his father, William, who worked in the aerospace industry. When William's aerodynamicist friends could not explain how it flew so far, William and Mark filed for patents and formed the William Mark Corporation.

I have this as a birthday gift to my grandbaby on her third birthing day. A little below the manufacturers suggested age, but she is smarter than any two five year olds put together. She loves it. We like to lay on the floor and imagine ourselves laying at the bottom of the ocean, looking up at sharks. The smiles and joy that gift has given is worth 100 times what I paid for it. Indulge and buy it, you won't regret it.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, it....Did I mention LOVE it??? This product came quickly and exactly what is sold at ToysRus for $20 more..It was the highlight of my son's CHristmas. If i knew how to upload a video of his excitement I would. This is a fun toy! He still plays with it every day, several times a day, and its been 2 weeks since CHristmas. Don't forget the helium tank (i almost did), helium tank is cheap at Walmart. LOVE THE AIR SWIMMER~

These are fun balloons. It took us some time to inflate it. I had to assemble and inflate it at the grocery store and not seeing one it was a little confusing but we did it and the kids LOVED it. You can take it back after it begins to deflate (about a month) and put more helium in it. Great little toy but best to give it inflated first!

A shark looking around your home or workplace is awesome. The coolest part of this toy is the speed and control you get out of it. It really doesn't fly around, it LURKS around. Glaring at you, knowing full well it is the supreme predator. While at the helm of the controls of this amazing gravity-defying beast, you are the purveyor of fear and order in any surrounding. Anyone gets out line? BOOM! Enter a shark to give them a good, strong look of "what for." I love this thing. May buy 5 more and see if I can get a "school" of sharks and initiate a feeding frenzy of fun! (See what I did there?)

just a pain. took over an hour to put together. some buttons don't work and did not dive. needed to put pennies to weight it. $4.00 for helium. some stores refused to fill it, as they thought it too expensive to risk popping.

This was the second of my three "Air Swimmers" Remote Control Inflatable Flying Fish I ordered. I received it early. Upon inspection it appears to be the genuine article as advertised it carried the WMC (William Mark Corporation) distribution trademark. This assembles just like the Clownfish version except for the lack of an extra top fin. Placement of the motorized pod on the "fish's" underbelly for proper diving and climbing action would then depend on your altitude at or above sea level as per the instructions. Couldn't be happier ... it works just as it should. No problem with helium leaks or premature deflation.

As with the other Air Swimmers I purchased, I wondered about the feasibility of storing this flyer or compacting it for travel so I used industrial strength velcro pre-cut pads instead of directly adhering the upper and lower fins onto the balloon. Seems to work like a charm. I can now detach the fins whenever I need to or re-attach them very easilly. Did the same on the three pads on top of the motorized pod on the under belly of the balloon. I can also reposition the pod where needed for proper diving and climbing action. Kept the tail fin hooks permanently adhered using the enclosed double-sided sticky pads.

Just with all the infrared remote controlled "fish" from Air Swimmers, you must make sure to point the handheld controller in the direction of the floating fish. An unobstructed line of sight is best. Practice makes perfect. It takes a bit of time to master the swimming, diving, climbing and turning motions. Would probably be a big help if the remote were RC based rather than IR based. But for the price and wow factor ... it's just fine.

Plan on 3 hours to assemble, with the help of a second person, 3 days of fun playing with it, then everything you assembled pops off the balloon as it deflates. Great for a birthday party, but doesn't last for all the time and effort you put into it. Think of it like making and decorating a birthday cake. It takes 3 hours, then doesn't last because people eat it.

They just were not what I thought I was buying. Party balloons would not hold up for 2 minutes with most 8 yr. olds. I guess I thought it was a sturdier object. The idea behind it was truly a cute one but we have a wood stove so didn't want to chance it. Thanks!
