    The soundtrack for Romeo + Juliet is one of my personal favorites. I like to say it's very "Baz Luhrmann" - which I can't really put into words well. All of his movies have a very distinct feel to them. They are beautiful, strange, and emotional. He always manages to infuse unexpected music tracks into his films that perfectly capture the mood he's creating. So, the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack is much like the movie. It's dark (#1 Crush - Garbage) and beautiful (Kissing You - Des'ree). It perfectly captures the excitment and hopefulness of youth (Lovefool - The Cardigans, Young Hearts Run Free - Kym Mazelle), and still manages to maintain a hip, indie vibe to it (Talk Show Host - Radiohead, Little Star - Stina Nordenstam). Even 20 years after its release it's still a fun soundtrack to listen to and one I would absolutely recommend owning.
