About the Author

Jodi Liano is an author, recipe developer, and the founder of the San Francisco Cooking School. She is the author of Eggs as well as Cooking from the Farmers' Market and New Flavors for Vegetables, both for Williams-Sonoma. Jodi has also worked as a food stylist in San Francisco and in New York at the Food Network.

We belong to a Community Supported Agriculture share program (CSA) and get a box full of farm fresh veggies weekly. Included are veggies I have no idea how to cook. I got this book and I have been able to use all of the veggies and come out looking like a gourmet chef! The recipes are truly unique and delicious! Jodi Liano combines shallots, red pepper flakes, smoked sweet paprika, honey and lemon to create her Caramelized Cauliflower dish! (my husband gave this one a 10++++) And her Vinegar-Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Chestnuts and Walnut Oil were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this book, you will not be disappointed!

I never expected to find such fantastic recipes in a disingenuously slim, simply designed cookbook! The photography is incredible but its blown away by the recipes themselves. Using almost entirely standard ingredients anyone would have on hand, these recipes bring together simple preparation, fresh flavors and under-appreciated vegetables to create fantastic dishes. As an added bonus, the index lists recipes by season, allowing you to easily find and utilize whatever's in season at your local farmer's market. I highly recommend this one!

I HAVE ALREADY MADE SEVERAL OF THE RECIPES IN THIS BOOK AND WAS PLEASED WITH HOW THEY TURNED OUT. I THINK WHAT REALLY SOLD ME ON THIS COOKBOOK ARE THE BEAUTIFUL PICTURES THROUGHOUT. THE FACT THAT IT IS ARRANGED ACCORDING TO SEASON IS ALSO USEFUL. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK IF YOU'D LIKE TO
