Format: Kindle Edition
The story took hold of me right away. It rolls along at a fairly fast pace so it's hard to put the book down. The characters also held my interest. The story takes place over many years and much of it occurs in the deep South. The main characters are very sympathetic and I found myself caring deeply about them.

This author tells a good story. She is a first time author and could have used some strong editing help. A few things were out of synch and time frames seemed off in parts of the book. But I will definitely read her next one. Maybe next time she will have an editor who can help with polishing the final version.
