Damn, this thing is expensive. And really slightly useless. Who really wants skull shaped muffins/cupcakes for occasions besides Halloween?

I bought this product for a project where I was making sugar skulls. Even though this mold is not made for sugar skulls, it worked great! The only think I would add is that if you are making sugar skulls then put them in the oven for 10 minutes first and they will come out much much better. Also this mold holds about 1 1/8 lbs of sugar per skull or about a half a pound per skull part. Great Product!

Be as Creative as you want. You would have to go out of your way to screw this up. Let your imagination go wild. But don't take my word for it, try it your self. Chicken pot pies, Pizza, fruited Jello, Cheese Stake With flukey crust, just to name a few. I think you will Love it, not just for the kids, but for you yourself. Go ahead, prove me wrong.

This pan is really cool and there are a lot of great ideas for it on Pinterest. We made the stuffed pizzas and they were awesome. Instead of the crust recommended on the JoAnn site/Pinterest, we used Pillsbury ready made crust and cut it in 4. Worked very well. We tested out several cakes - I'm not experienced at icing, so that part didn't turn out good for me, but the cakes looked good and maybe dust with powdered sugar. If you are good, you could stuff icing inside like a jelly donut...

Love this pan !!! I've used it several times to make Stuffed Pizza Bread Heads. When you make homemade dough you don't even have to use the back forms. push the dough into the face, stuff with ingredients, wrap the dough around the back, and make sure it's sealed well. Bake as normal and Viola, skull shaped pizza rolls in a perfect serving size for one person. You don't even have to coat the surface. Everything slides right out of the no stick coating dough and cheese alike.

I used this mold for sugar skulls and they worked out perfectly! The reason I went with the this mold rather than buying the plastic molds was because of breakage during storage. I know this will hold up through the years of use. I also liked that I could mold 4 skulls at once, saving lots of time.

Just remember to hollow out the middle a bit sp the skull isn't too heavy.
