Really thick, got darker as it solidified
Put the candy melts in a ceramic coffee mug and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between until it started to melt. It was really, really thick so I had to add a lot of paramount crystals (which is basically just crisco) a little at a time to get it to a workable consistency. It looked more gray as it melted, but then got darker as it dried. It’s not my favorite product to work with, I’d rather use almond bark and add oil based coloring (NOT gel), but it is hard to get black that way. So, this worked for what I needed it for.

I was very dissatisfied with the product. The product was not in individual pieces when received, and the “mass” did not melt into a usable consistency, despite adding shortening, as the label indicated. Not sure if it was part of a “seconds/reject” run, as I haven’t experienced this result with other Wilton melts. I won’t be purchasing Wilton melts online in the future.
