Ordered these so my two year old could participate in decorating Christmas cookies. They were perfect. My five year old nephew (and the adults) loved them too. Super easy to use. Worked great on top of royal icing. Will definitely be using them every year now! Way easier than decorating with icing.

No added flavor. Color was perfect- writing on cookie icing was perfect and easy. Just make sure to let your icing dry for several days-yes-several DAYS. I rushed on some of my cookies and used on day 1 and the marker bled not long after writing.

I am far from a baker so don't judge hahaha. However these marker worked so well! I was very nervous after reading some bad reviews. I baked my cookies last night, once they cooled completely I iced them with store bought cookie frosting (royal frosting). I let the cookies dry over night and tonight I used the markers to wright on the cookie frosting and they worked like a dream. I don't know about other applications but absolutely perfect for hardened cookie frosting/royal frosting.

I used the food markers to draw details ontop of marshmallow fondant and on marshmallows. They were easy to use- i could control right where the color went- but the end result did NOT look polished on the fondant. The liquid “ink” dissolved the fondant a bit. It looked the way a marker coloring kids project would look! The rough surface of the marshmallows themselves took the color much better and didn’t dissolve or look as sloppy.
In the picture both the blue-blob-unfortunate shading, and the details on the eyes are using this product.

Product bleeds into icing.....

I used both the black and the red marker to lightly draw eye shapes on a cookie. I piped an ivory color into the area and watched the black marker bled into the ivory. The red market was somewhat more successful, but am not able to use those cookies. Found the inks very dry. Is it possible this has been sitting around Amazon too long? Not fine tips

Let me just say that these are as far from fine tipped as it gets! Think kindergarten crayola markers...fat tipped markers! It made using them for my project incredibly difficult. I made sugar skull fondant cutouts for a Coco cake. I managed to get through it, but the areas I wanted color were depressed areas in the fondant and I was hoping for fine tips like when Sharpie says fine tip.
