I use this food coloring with royal icing. I used about a third of the container to get this true red color on about 1-1.5 cups of frosting. I am very happy with the color I achieved. (It didn't look at all pink, which sometimes happens when attempting a red.) But I do wish I didn't have to use so much product to achieve the desired color. If you need true red, this is the way to go.
