This smooth, extra-wide fondant rolling pin is perfect when working with large pieces of fondant for covering cakes. The fondant roller's non-stick surface makes handling large pieces of fondant easy - just dust The surface with icing sugar and roll it out to the size you need, then use the rolling pin to lift the fondant from your work surface to the cake. Eliminate the guesswork when rolling out fondant by slipping the easy-to-use guide rings onto the ends of the rolling pin to achieve the perfect thickness every time. Also great for rolling out pastry dough and pie crusts.

Its length and thickness rings made it fool proof to reach the desired thickness which I of course, was grateful for.
That being said, the roller is very light weight and I had to put a lot of pressure on the fondant to roll it out. My palms were sore and it was physically tiring!
Thankfully, to fix this, in my initial rolls, I ended up using my marble rolling pin; the weight did the hard work for me and once I got my fondant thin and well spread into a consistent circle, I used the Wilton roller with measure bands to achieve the right thickness all around.
I don't recommend using this roller alone with large projects.
It might be fine for smaller ones, but even then, I used my marble roller for that as well.
I feel like if the roller was thicker, like a traditional rolling pin, and at least had handles, it would be a solid product. Until then, it gets the job done...kind of.

Very happy with this purchase, bought it before starting to work with fondant so don't know how other rolling pins would compare. But I certainly wouldn't try my wooden one on sugar!
I like the size, you get even rolling from edge to edge, even when working on larger quantities of fondant for bigger cakes.
