An Elementary Solution
Aluminum pans for every baking need
Our professional pans are a no-brainer for great results for pastry chefs or home bakers. Aluminum's uniform heat conduction makes for an even, light-golden finish while being warp and rust resistant for commercial-level performance. In the summertime months, you can also use the pans to mold outstanding ice cream cakes. Whether baking or molding, we've got the pan you need.
A Plethora of Pans
Built to Take the Heat
Our pans are made to last, with a solid aluminum construction to make sure cakes bake evenly, with a smooth surface that's easy to decorate.
A Piece of Cake
Our round cake pans have high sturdy sides and rolled lips to produce beautifully straight edges. Simple grease the pan before baking or line with parchment for an easy, clean release.
No Baking Boundries
From breakfast bread loaves to cheesecakes and quiches, we have the variety you need to tackle any baking job with confidence.

The reason you want to buy this pan instead of the 8x2 round pan is that your cakes will rise more evenly because the high sides shield the batter from the initial wave of heat. This means you can shave off less cake when you're stacking layers and get a more professional looking finish. Highly recommend.
My original 5-star review follows.
These are what I consider to be the perfect pans to make a layer cake. Two of these 8" diameter pans fit next to each other on my oven shelf. They have straight sides. Together with Wilton 415-0795 2-Piece Bake Even Strip Set , they give me fairly flat layers that I don't have to trim.
Price is right, too. At the time I'm writing this review, the price of two "Add-On" pans is less than the set of two. Go figure...... But know this: Just because the price is so reasonable, do not assume they are not quality pans. They are good quality? They have not warped. They hold their shape. They clean easily. They are light-weight.
The strips that I mention above, (which are first soaked in water then wrapped around the pans like belts), keep the sides of these aluminum pans at a little cooler temperature while baking. That means the temperature around the sides somewhat approximates the temp in the middle of the layers--then it all rises together without a dome. Really works!
Even if I get a slight dome on a layer, a serving plate with a bit of an indent takes care of it.
Amazingly, I've been making a layer cake a week, since these pans make it so full-proof, and (I'm not ashamed to say) boxed cake mixes make it so easy. I change up the boxed mixes with different juices, and/or extracts, nuts, fruit, citrus, colored dyes--all simple stuff. I do the same with the filling and the icing, and I'm having a lot of fun.
This pan seemed to bake evenly which was fine. However, I was disappointed that with this brand new pan and copious use of Wilton cake release, the cake still stuck to the pan (see 3rd thru 5th photos) quite a lot. It was no better than my old beat up 9 x 13 I normally use. It is lightweight.
As others have complained, Wilton puts a glob of sticky goop on their pans (I just bought a round pan from another store and same thing) to hold the accompanying paper with instructions. It is near impossible to get off, even with use of an abrasive pad (which results in scratches).

I did spray non stick spray in before putting the mix in but I don’t think I would’ve needed it as it seemed to have a nice non stick finish, but I’m a worry wort and for my first ever batch wanted them to slip out effortlessly.
They did, and the donuts cooked really evenly as well so I’m really happy with it.
Cleaning was fine, I’ll keep hand washing it as I find that dishwashers tend to remove non stick coatings over time but it took no time to hand wash anyway as nothing stuck to it. Perfect.
