We first ordered the Wilton Jumbo muffin pans to make our weekly egg muffins. This size allowed us to fill them with the veggies we desired without the overflow we experienced with a regular sized pan. This pan was so great and the non-stick so effective that it lead to this purchase of this size pan for regular muffins.
JUMBO size (highly recommend for egg muffins, if you like a lot of veggies in them)
We make muffins at least 1-2 times a week. We make egg muffins, corn muffins, apple/banana (with almond flour), cashew oatmeal muffins, etc. What we LOVE, is the non-stick factor. Our last pan was very old and no matter how much Pam spray or other type of coating we put into the muffin cups, the muffins would stick and the pan was a nightmare to clean. Now, we lightly spray the pan and the muffins pop out with ease and clean up is easy and fast. Would order again for sure.
Previously, I owned a 6-cup muffin tray that I acquired as part of a baking set. It was advertised as being nonstick, but I always had trouble extricating my frittatas from the cups. Even using non-stick cooking spray didn't seem to help much. Exasperated, I decided to give this Wilton 12-cup muffin tray a shot based on its high Amazon rating. Not only is this a truly, successfully, nonstick tray, but each cup is every so slightly larger than the cups on my old tray. This makes it even easier for me to use a silicon spatula to pry out each individual frittata. I no longer experience tears or breakage in the frittata removal process! At such a reasonable price, this Wilton tray has truly been a game-changer for my breakfasts.
Just a tip: Since the cups of this tray are much smaller than regular muffins, I will typically leave these in the oven for 3-5 minutes less than the recipe calls for, or at least check them at around that time. As always, fill these around 2/3 of the way up so that they won't overflow for prettier looking muffins.
