Top Customer Reviews
But I bought one at Walmart about twelve years ago because of the cheap price, and to have something to just plain beat on. I see others posting here have also bought it for the same reason.
I've used this for hacking at wood, cutting away vines, splitting small kindling, cutting rope, all sorts of things. It's not some fancy S90V steel. But holds a decent edge, and is easy to sharpen.
I will honestly say this knife was a hidden gem. I'm tempted to buy another one or two because of the $15 price, and they might someday be discontinued.
I also own three benchmade, two spyderco, and an assortment of other nice knives. Some at three times the price of this one. Not bragging, just saying this is an excellent knife for those tough tasks you don't want to use those a little less robust as this workhorse. For $15 dollars?
Give it a shot.
I really can't believe this is a $14.11 knife. The price makes it sound like a flea market single use piece of junk.
It's not. There really is a good reason for all the 5* reviews.
I stand corrected. Guess I was commenting on a larger version I bought years ago. A good 2 inches longer, an extra inch on the blade, and a whole lot more heft.
But the little one seems like it will be up to some tough tasks, just not the same as the bigger one.
The photo shows the difference.
That being said...I felt I had to
Now winchester white ammo is despicable and based on the quality of this knife in comparison they should stick to making knives
This is an amazing little machine I have used it camping hunting and for anything u might need a knife for ...I just can't say enough good about it
The steel takes an edge easily and holds it well the fit of the handle is just about perfect I can't imagine making it all around any better . .thin enough u can delicately skin hide but enough that you can still get a hold of it to puncure the hide or reach inside and cut through the windpipe. ..it is narrow but you can't get any closer to doing everything without it becoming bulky when doing more precise things...I heard someone write a review "the natural guy" that the blade and handle wasn't heavy enough for wood or whatever. ..but if you are wanting to build a cabin get an axe...if your looking at a 60 dollar knife do yourself a favor save save 30 bucks and buy 2 of these ..just in case you lose one you'll have a backup and won't be so disappointed you lost your favorite knife ...the slight curve of the knife makes it a dream to hold and the sheath is stellar as well...if you buy this and don't love it shoot me an email and I'll give you 10 of your dollars back for the one you want rid of...it's that good
I got the knife today and it is exactly what I expected. It is a very nice looking knife and comes in high quality packaging. It is well balanced and came very sharp with a high qquality nylon sheath. What was great about the sheath is that it is not only nylon, but it also has a hardened plastic interior that snugly holds the knife in place with a slight click. The blade is even within legal length of carry, at least for my area.
