I like that the jaw angle is adjustable. Reasonably easy to clean. I've owned for 3 years and didn't use much at first, but the last year the rubber sides have peeled away; it's as if the rubber part that "clips" inside the metal has shrunken (melted maybe?). Not bad I suppose, for the price. Still, a little disappointing.

I ordered this along with a bunch of other small kitchen gadgets after getting a gift card for Christmas. I didn't have a pair of tongs, so I decided I would try to find a decent, relatively cheap pair with the capability to lock.

I used these tongs last night while cooking and they're a lot nicer than I expected! They have a decent weight to them - sturdy, but not too heavy. They feel well made and are extremely comfortable to hold in your hands. The rubber tips feel high quality and I absolutely love the locking mechanism. Just pull the little loop at the end and voila! Locked! They're easy to unlock too with just a press, which is extremely convenient while you're busy in the kitchen.

This is my first purchase of tongs, and I have to say I've been using it for around 4 years with no melting or huge problems. It has a very firm grip, and even slippery bones I'm able to remove with ease. The lock on the back is pretty easy to use, and though some may complain about needing two hands, I've gone through the practice of just using my mouth which works wonderfully.

The only sad part about it (and only sometimes!) is that it's a bit on the short side. Pulling things out of a large boiling pot or a heated oven sometimes means my uncooked hands get a little too close for comfort. That being said, it's an awesome set of tongs that I recommend for any person looking to get their first set and start cooking.

At my house we cook using nonstick cookware, and one of the biggest worry are scratches. I have used other tong before and they sucks. The bad quality one over time they will actually melt and the reshaped of the tip will scratch the surface of the nonstick cookwares.
