Book was given for an honest review and I honestly loved it.
Rhia is an heir and blademaster. She is a strong and formidable woman. I thought Rhia was also very stubborn...really stubborn. RuArk, her childhood friend is brought back into her life by her father to protect her against some enemy threats. And being the headstrong person Rhia is she is against it. RuArk does everything to prove that he is concerned for her well being and that he is attracted to her. Thus, Rhia continue to push him away with her "I don't need anyone" attitude. Eventually she steps off the denial train and admits she should change her way of thinking.
The book ends in a cliffhanger with RuArk being unconscious after getting hurt really bad when they were attacked.
