My son first got one of these puzzle sets when he turned 3, and I remember being initially not impressed with what seemed like a plastic-y cheap toy. Well, it turned out to be his favorite gift, and it was always popular with friends. The track can be configured in many different ways, and there is some educational value in making sure the pieces align in a way to keep the vehicle's track going correctly. We eventually purchased several different vehicle sets, which is when the fun really began as are all interchangeable/ connectable. My son would make giant tracks with several vehicles going at once. A big, big hit with the 3-6 set! Adults may need to help younger kids wind the vehicles. My oldest is now 9 and still enjoys them!

I bought this for my 2 yr old grandson, Lucas, but he's still a bit young for it - his time span isn't long enough to continually wind it up. The toy itself is good but for kids a little older.
