About the Author
Diego Samuilov has worked in Microsoft's environments since he started his professional career in 1990. Since then, he has been through all possible positions related to the Software Development lifecycle: he has held positions as a developer, analyst, technical lead, project lead and auditor. He has a broad experience in the application development arena and since 1996 as a project manager for projects in the Server, Desktop, Web and Mobile environments. He enjoys the software development process which has played a great part in his skills development. He still likes to keep part of the projects he leads for designing and developing himself so that he can keep his technical skills up to date. Since the introduction of Windows CE in the late 1990s he has been involved in one form or another in the development of several solutions for the mobile environment. He participates in public and private developer community events. He actively collaborates with the community at support forums and blogs. His management experience started when leading small development teams as a Lead Developer. Even as an executive, he has always been a "very hands-on" manager with a high level of participation in the development functions. He has experience in IT Management since 1996, when he started as a Senior Analyst and Solutions Integrator, while working for a consulting company. He currently holds an Information Technology Executive position while at the same time writes for his blog Gadgetix.com
