I like the book concept but it never really got specific concerning video capture and exactly how to save video files to isolated storage. In other words, they didn't have a recipe for that. And considering that's why I bought the book in the first place. I was very disappointed. It would have been nice also if the Authors had ran with the idea of expanding on the video studio example programs that are already published on the windows phone web site. One of the problems that I find consistently while trying to learn windows phone development is how different people teach you in totally different ways and one way of doing things right totally gets lost in the translation of the same code. Anyway the book is very good at teaching you what they teach you but. They shouldn't say they have a recipe for EVERYTHING if they don't.

If you are Silverlight developer looking for book that covers Windows Phone specific programming features this books is for you. But if you are just starting your programming adventure this book alone might disappoint you as it doesn't cover all basic Silverlight programming concepts.

Huge advantage of this book are clear examples - simple and focused on feature they are showing, not showing how smart are people who wrote this book.
