As long as you are buying a new copy it will work. If you have a previous card and want to transfer you will have to buy a new copy. But if you have the version where it is good for 3 pc's you can transfer the license. Hope this helps.

the Windows Version should work with Windows 8, they wont say on the requirements because this version came out before Windows 8 came out

Windows 8 is Microsoft and so is the Office 2010 so there should be compatibility with the two.
