Good free VPN for using with my Firestick. Easy installation and integration. Works great with my ad blocker on the Firestick. Free version allows for 10GB per month after providing an email 2GB without an email. I can't remember if free version can work on all different platforms - laptop, phone; etc. or if you need to upgrade to paid service. But paid service is reasonable (if paid for the year). For what I need it for, I only need 10GB. But will upgrade it I need to.
junk. lags like crazy playing pluto tv, and disconnects often even with 1gb+ free in firestick. try and use this vpn with your amazon prime travelling overseas and it says you are you using vpn and doesn't allow you to access your paid prime services; even after you disconnect within the vpn app, amazon still says you are using vpn, so you have to uninstall the app. there are only a couple free usa servers and all are 200ms+ ping. there are no instructions how to start the vpn, then go back to fire menu to watch content keeping vpn on, do you press back or home button, regardless, come back to windscribe app after back or home key, and it says you are disconnected, although amazon prime still says you are using vpn. then after uninstalling and without vpn, amazon says you are in "unapproved location" to access your prime services. so no use. globalist/colonialist/communist disunited, dumbed down, decultured, endless growth economics society creating moneymen make up your minds; telling all the worlds monkeys that they are the same as real generational usa city, state, country, systems, quality and way of life creators of nicety from wilderness nothingness, turning all our moderated world model systems and inherently superior systems, media and entertainment into meaningless cultureless, heritageless, genderless, raceless/tribeless, foreign parasitoid flooded, mindless 3rd world and tropical media of fantasy and make believe inhuman "enemies", unless they are ww2 german nationalists or quasi white asian russians, but not any other nationalist nation/culture defenders like japanese, koreans, chinese/taiwanese, vietnamese, pinos, indians, etc; yet they do not allow access from or while visiting the envious malevolent 3rd world and tropicals unmoderated overpopulated unaffordable usa/euro emulating countries.
It is nice to have a no-cost VPN, but it interferes with my ad blocking app. Unless I shut off the ad blocker, the VPN shuts off. The VPN does not block ads, so I receive lots of ads for products in the country where the VPN server is located. I can put up with the ads for the time I use the VPN.
Had to download this VPN on my FireStick because certain Apps, like Filelinked, stopped working. So, after some world wide web research, I determined that I needed a VPN to fix the problem. Then, after some more research, I concluded that I would try Windscribe. I have only been using it for a short time but it did fix my issues and it does seem to work fine. The only thing is that it starts you at 2GB per month unless you give them your email for what ever reason, if you agree to that then you automatically get "upgraded" to 10GB per month. So I guess it depends on how much watching and streaming you do, as to whether or not 10GB is gonna be enough.
Was my network under attack? I was getting constant security alerts from all of my devices. Someone could be trying to steal my passwords! Or maybe it was an internet glitch.
I was quite happy to find Windscribe. With a 10 GB monthly limit per free account, it looks like I only need about 4-6 GB to protect my networked devices full time. I've installed Windscribe on my PC, android phone and the Fire. It was a piece of cake on all three.
Does it slow things down? You betcha! But the slowest part is when you fire up the device and Windscribe has to wake up. There is the occasional hesitation when pages load. Sometimes the free servers are overloaded and you have to wait a minute or two before it finds an available server.
You get a free firewall too.
You can, of course, get paid service, enjoy dedicated servers and you can stop worrying about data limits. But I'm pretty darn happy.
Was my network really under attack? Yes, it was. A squirrel was busy trying to down the Internet all by itself. One day, he's gonna bite the power line instead. But I still run Windscribe full time on my devices. Why not?
Tried to set up a log in account and it would not accept my user name and password I created, but didn't indicate what was wrong with what I created, just indicated "something was wrong with one or the other so I just tried on my computer to get support on line, saw live chat was available with a Garry, he was rude and because he couldn't understand that the app would not let me create a log in account why it didn't like anything I tried using, he suggested i talk to a human, to create a ticket to submit, which needs a login ??? so then he called me "buddy" and said I was messing with him??? My name is Mrs. John Sundo-Barnes and I speak english very well, better than he does evidently, so my husband I had planned to try it free for a month on our Amazon Fire Stick and if we liked it would have purchased it, but won't now just deleted it from the Stick on our TV!!!!!!!! The Windscribe VPN Android app is a powerful and reliable tool that safeguards your online privacy while providing unrestricted access to the internet. It's an essential companion for anyone concerned about online security and freedom.
First and foremost, Windscribe excels in protecting your digital privacy. It encrypts your internet connection, shielding your data from prying eyes and potential cyber threats. This level of security is crucial, especially when using public Wi-Fi networks or accessing sensitive information online.
What sets Windscribe apart is its commitment to user freedom. With servers in multiple countries, it enables you to bypass geo-restrictions and access content from anywhere in the world. Whether it's streaming services, news websites, or censored content, Windscribe gives you the power to access it all.
The Android app is user-friendly and straightforward to use. It offers a simple, one-tap connection, and the app's interface is intuitive, even for those new to VPN technology.
Windscribe goes the extra mile by providing a free plan with a limited amount of data per month, allowing users to try out the service before committing to a paid subscription. The premium plans offer unlimited data and additional features, making it even more appealing for those who want comprehensive VPN protection.
The only caveat to consider is that, like all VPN services, your internet speed may be slightly affected when connected to a VPN server. However, the impact on speed is generally minimal, and the benefits of security and access far outweigh this minor inconvenience.
Windscribe VPN for Android is a must-have app for privacy-conscious individuals and those who value internet freedom. It provides robust security, bypasses geo-restrictions, and ensures your online activities remain private. Whether you're on public Wi-Fi, traveling abroad, or simply want to access blocked content, Windscribe delivers a seamless and reliable solution. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a trustworthy VPN service for their Android device.
