The TTEP115 windshield and dashboard car mount is ideal for use with the TomTom START 40, 45, 55, and XL; XL and XXL; and ONE 125, ONE 130, and ONE 140 models. The adapter plate included with the holder accommodates any of the above TomTom models. It includes Arkon’s Travelmount deluxe mini suction car mount, an adapter plate that converts the mount from a Dual-T to the circular TomTom EasyPort mount pattern, and a 3M adhesive dash mounting disk. The arm of the suction mount adjusts vertically and provides 360° rotation, giving you the ultimate flexibility in viewing the TomTom device from any angle. For cold weather climates, Arkon suggests the sticky suction TTEP179, also available from Amazon.

Short Description: It is used as an alternative and much easier TOM TOM GPS holder than the original provided by tom tom.

Pros & Cons
★ Easy to set up instead of the very very annoying TOM TOM wheel that ends up braking or snapping back or out of place.
★With the extended arm the GPS is a little away from the windshield and it is much easier to position for a better angle.
★The product is solid and not wobbly, easy to set up and easy to snap GPS in the mount unlike the original it came with.
★ But thats not all! :-) It also brings another pad for your dashboard so you don't have to go out and get one.
Cons: None so far but I will follow up on the durability of the suction cup if I have any issues in the future, if you don't see it here it is still working good!
Final Thoughts and Personal Opinion: I should have bought these a long time ago instead of being so frustrated with the original and putting the spring back together overtime it broke. no more of that, I say BUY IT!

Based on the mixed reviews, I was not entirely sure what to expect. I am happy to report that my husband and I are very pleased with this TomTom Mount. The day I received this one, we left for a trip. He had his TomTom, but had left his windshield mount at home. Rather than make the whole trip with the GPS balanced on the console and having to look down at it, I ran over to my car and got my new Arkon mount.
I had to study it a while - it is not quite as simple as the original mount, but it makes sense and is very flexible once you understand the pivot points. We do not expect any issues with the device falling - playing around, I stuck it on the windshield and had a harder time getting it back off than I expected.
After our trip, I found my husband's original mount and went to put it on for him and he stopped me and said that I should order me another Arkon and use his original one until it arrived because he didn't want to give it up!!
So, now I'm back on the site to order one for me! I think I'll order a third for a spare for using on other vehicles so we won't have to readjust our everyday ones!
I was not anxious to relive any part of this experience and after reading the reviews of the knock-offs I knew I was in for more of the same. One of those reviews mentioned the Arkon and after reading it's reviews I was convinced to give it a try. After almost a month of use it has not failed once and due to its multiple articulation points it offers a few more mounting options than the original.
It cost more than the knock-offs but since it actually works it is worth the expense. One nitpick: the coupling ring that connects with the back of the TomTom feels loose but it seems to be securely connected and it doesn't appear to be a problem.
But I did try a few other Tomtom like cheap ones which work only on the windshield and that too when I used water to make them stick firm.
Arkon clamp was really great as I find it fit on the dashboard firm.
I loved the suction clamp and the angles it provides. It helped me keep it just at the height of my Navigation panel swinging down from the dash. This sort of arrangement makes you see the road clear of these gadgetry and as well keep the GPS much in reach to change for via routes easily.
Both the easy adapter and the suction type Tomtom should have provided this sort of clamp in the first place. Now that Tomtom had evolved already! Only thing is the disc will reveal your car has electronics in the car thats the only drawback else no qualms. It does what it says.
