This is NOT the Neal Hefti of Count Basie and film score fame. This 1957 album is sort of a Lester Lanin meets Lawrence Welk, but still has a style of its own. I found the album to be a "fun" listen, but not all Neal Hefti fans will agree. The album is mono and the violin(s)? has a very shrill sound. One other fact, the album is a CD-R and not a regular CD.
