The title of this book, written in 2012, caught my attention. Motivational ideas do not get stale with time. The author of this book concentrates on barriers people have in their mind that prevents them from achieving goals that seem unreachable.
The author concentrates on internal motivation. The ideas of thinking outside the box, looking for a purple cow (i.e. a different approach) are good take always from this book. Examples from the sports world make it fun to use in discussions with the team members and they become more realistic.
The author also talks about EFT. She assumes the reader knows what it is without explaining what it is. ETF is Emotional Freedom Techniques also called “tapping”. EFT involves using your fingertips to stimulate 12 acupressure points while keeping your mind focused on a negative emotion. I found these portions of the book less relevant to me, but I had enough take away from the book to make it is a worth while read.
