In my opinion this is not the best work of Celia and John Lee. Sadly they have placed an unacceptable amount of blame on Winston Churchill for the lack of funds that Jack had available throughout his life.
Both Lord and Lady Randolph Churchill died leaving their children astronomical debts that needed to be repaid and Winston Churchill took the main responsibility for the repayment of the creditors.
Jack had the same opportunities as Winston, but he had no need for the finances that Winston required and I do not feel the book has taken these facts into consideration.
