Using animals instead of humans in the book allow children to relate the lessons of friendship to any group. The forest friends learn to work together and help each other as they travel to their destination. No one could have completed the trip alone.
This is a great book for both enjoyment and education. I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Read this book to our 6-year granddaughter too and she loved this one just as much as Book #4 in this series. She made a point to tell me how the animals were working together as a team to get things done and then our granddaughter stated that this is what her kindergarten teacher tells the class everyday: that in teamwork there is no "I" and that with everyone working together is the only way a big problem can get done correctly and in a timely manner. Well done.
