In this story; Tannis Winter & Dillon James are both doing what they can to help these people survive, although in very different ways. The author made me feel like these two individuals really cared for these people. Heck... this is only a story, but I found myself becoming very attached to them too. They maybe homeless, but they care & look after one another, especially Gunner, Binnie, and Clarence. And if Clarence and Gunner hadn't shown up when they had, who knows what would have happened to Tannis.
I was a little disappointed that the author let me hanging as far as the homeless woman and her children. I also would've like to know if Tannis and Dillon had made a difference in the lives of the homeless, through their newly formed task force. IMO-Adding an epilogue at the end, would have helped clear up a few of those things.
Would I recommend this book? Yes!
I do not think this book is for everyone - if you are uncomfortable hearing about homeless people, people who happen to be down on their luck and you don't want to think about any ways that society can help them, then this book isn't for you.
But if you can overlook that and you enjoy romantic tales where the 2 main characters, meet and find they have something in common and you want to see how their relationship grows, then I think you'll enjoy this book.

Two homeless people meet on the street.
And without wanting to give anything away, the most surprising story!
