I never expected Sophie Ang to become such a larger than life character. Her adventures and activities keep the reader enthralled, absorbed and totally immersed to the exclusion of anything else. Her attempts at catching bad guys using everything at her disposal are simply fascinating! She is a true allrounder excelling in everything she does. Other characters are also endearing, the narrative as smooth flowing as all the other books of Toby, the events captivating and enchanting!
Despite her acknowledgement of her son Caleb as the tech consultant, Toby has done a stupendous job of authoring this outstanding book based wholly on Information Technology!! The book compelled me to write this review as it is one of the best books I have read in the recent past. Sophie Ang is a winner all the way much as her creator! The exhilarating occurrences in this book have to be read to get the complete essence of the book.
Thanks for this delightful book, Toby! I hope the sequels are available, going now to check!
Character Sophie is multidimensional; textured, complex, with tangible depth. The plot development is enmeshed into previous and future tales in a way that makes Sophie seem floating in a time and space continuum only we can enter. Sophie’s strengths are also her weaknesses, and her pain is also her joy. With the backdrop of Hawaiian and Pacific Asian true culture, mixed ethnic pivotal characters, and the complexity of evolving technology, Neal has a wonderful canvas upon which to draw this riveting character whose brilliance is eclipsed only by her mental strength. I am drawn to Sophie already, even stronger than I ever was to Lei Texeira and she became a beloved character. I am eager to see The Ghost as he evolves into the perfect literary counter-part to this extraordinarily flawed heroine. Congrats to Toby Neal for her excellence and creativity. We are all beneficiaries of a great talent in her works.
Wired In is about a kidnapping ring of children. One of the most horrendous crimes...and Sophie Ang plunges herself deep into a deadly game. One that may save the kids. Technology is both frightening and useful. If used in the right ways, answers can be solved. However, it can also lead to danger. Much like the intriguing tale, Toby Neal brings to readers. Intense, suspenseful, and a highly engaging journey. The plot is fast-paced and well-written. The title of this novel fits in precisely with the plot. Sophie Ang is definitely wired in...I am a huge fan of FBI thrillers and suspense titles. This series fits the bill perfectly. I loved how deep the book captured me. The emotional attachments felt so real. Fear rippling through me as the tension built up...every page as addictive as the first. Toby Neal is a talented writer. After reading both her novels, I can see why. Absolutely a stunning read, that will sweep readers off their feet and drag them into the book. Overall, I highly recommend Wired In to readers worldwide.
