I wanted to like this, I really did. I have a Note II, when they sent the unit the first time, it came with the Galaxy III charging pad (the part inside the phone) this will not work for a Note II. They did send the right part and customer service is nice and polite. Considering that this ships from China, it gets here in a decent time at about two weeks; that’s a month and a half just to get something that could work. The really bad part is that it just does not work well, it barely works at all. If you take off your case, and place it just right on the pad (it’s hard to see since the Note II just about covers it up, and you get it to stop the annoying beeping to let you know it is aligned, it will charge for some indeterminate amount of time, and then shut off before fully charging. I’m going to try the ‘Energizer Qi-Enabled 3 Position Inductive Charger’ and hope it works better. Plugging your phone in is way better than this

I was hesitant to purchase this product but I am totally glad that I did. The only problem I have with it is that if your phone happened to slip off were the wireless charging stops there's no signal identifying that charging has stopped. Besides that I love it I'd recommend it to anybody.

After a bad experience with a Duracell Powermat solution for my S3, I decided to roll the dice and order this Avante Charger/Receiver. It's not stocked by anyone here in the US (at least as far as I could find) but can be ordered directly from China via Amazon.

The company was very responsive. Immediately after placing my Amazon order I received an email from them confirming which device I had (S3 or Note). And although the ETA for receiving the order was 4 weeks out, I received it in less than 2 weeks.

The solution is more elegant than Powermat in that you place the charging receiver under the existing phone-back. I was worried that it wouldn't fit, and it's definitely tight, but I can still snap the back on and use my existing case. There is a slight curve to the back where the receiver is, but it's hardly noticeable. It was very easy to install.

Charging works great. Just place the phone on the charging mat, the mat beeps, the phone beeps, the map-LED blinks, and the phone is charging.

A couple issues: The wall-plug is European type, and the kit comes with an adapter. However, putting the adapter on the end of the plug makes the whole thing stick-out very far from the outlet. Add that to the fact that the adapter doesn't "snap-in", and it's really not a setup that can be plugged into a wall socket. I ended up electrical-taping the adapter onto the end of the charger (to keep it from slipping off). I have it plugged into a power-strip under my bed, and I also taped it onto that so it wouldn't slip out. For me, that solution works fine.

The charging pad looks nice. However, it doesn't have any sort of non-slip feet, so it was not that stable on my nightstand. I had to add rubber feet so that it would stay in place.

I have tried to install and re-install the receiver on the phone battery several times but can't get a working connection got an led light but it went out and did not come back on. Closing the back in place takes some real doing - don't know if that could cause the problem. I tossed the box it came in unfortunately so can't return it. It came from a China address that I did not keep. Not sure what the solution is at this point. The technology seems to be right perhaps just the wrong product.
